practice makes perfect! In my experience I feel like u should know WHAT you are drawing and understand your drawing to figure out the right positions of mouth/nose/brow and eyes. When using a reference for instance I try to divide the face in multiple shapes like this:
I hope this helps! It helped me a ton (:
thx ^^
tho its alot of math...
i watched a video from proko about faces and have been using there Loomis head as a templet.
but i keep forgeting about the plains and stuff
what i really want to draw is anime and manga but someone said i should learn realism first. The whole "know the rules before you break them" kinda.
I think what they ment was the anatomy of a head. Its something u also have to learn when drawing manga but the proportions are just different
i think i can send u some from my manga anatomy book?
wow these are nice. sadly i dont know Spanish so i cant read it. Atleast i think its spanish. but nice images to look at and compare the real life to anime. ^^
idk spanish either girl i just watch the steps hhihihi there are alot of step by step pages in the book.
it explains al the shapes u need to create limbs or facial features
quite handy to look at
This is the book i use. I think it was translated from japanese to spanish?
But there are alot of similar books out there
On amazon for instance
This particular book also shows how to shade properly
nice stuff ^^ will check it out when i can. Cus low on cash atm sadly >.<
have one book or to be more precise a pdf about gesture and andrew loomis drawing the head. have only read a bit in both of them but they seem good. Got this one today https://www.amazon.se/Figure-Drawing-Invention-Michael-Hampton/dp/0615272819
Looks like a good educational book, I do recommend looking for something easier. Understanding the fundamentals and shapes then shading etc
bleh more fundementals i am soo tired of drawing boxes and cyliders and elipses, cones, cirles and soo on...
and worst part is that i feel like i am just doodling when i am doing em.
not really learning anything is what i feel when i do them.
I'm most likly wrong but its just not clicking for me.
either way i'm going to bed. But thx for all the input ^^
I will be honest and say that i dont think i will ever get any better then where i am at tho. 6 and a half months of drawing every day and it just feels like i am stuck in Limbo. 😖
