I used to believe the same stuff and that my art was stagnating, but I was just getting more critical in my art! Being critical just proves that you are improving. Drawing a little bit each day, watching/reading tutorials on specific stuff you can improve on can make a huge difference. I have been doing art for 2 years and still struggle with seeing improvement but looking back on my very old stuff I can see so many things I can work on! Art takes time, and rushing it will just make it worse (trust me on this i have tried)

Also, I recommend watching anatomy tutorials on YouTube. This summer its going to be the main thing I focus on and I recommend taking some time to start learning it! (reminder: learning anatomy will also take tons of time, but you WILL see improvement in your art.)

But yeah. Like loafism said you just gotta be patient. My first year hardly anything improved. Took a long time for me to reach a point where i then considered was expert tier (100% was not btw). It takes time and dedication but all the work you put into learning art will be worth it in the end. Look for what you want to improve on and work on that. If youre stuck on something dont hesitate to ask for help and we will gladly help you. We have lots of people of all skill levels asking for and offering help. Some are legit pros, while others are beginners but everyone has value in their advice no matter the amount of experience they may have
