i am primarily a traditional artist, but I’m trying to learn digital art. I do not know where to start and I need some help with it because I do not like the feel of it

I use procreate, Apple Pencil, and an iPad

Just experiment with the brushes and blending modes to find the materials you like for now

#

Its a new medium so get used to it first

first day I got my tablet was go online and get as many brushes, then I just tried them out. Lines, circles, whatever, see if I like the brush or not, what I could think it would be used for (lineart, coloring, blending, background, etc)
It also helped me because It made me look for tools, look at the settings of the brush, see where everything in the programm is and what I use most before I get down on a drawing. I'd just play around with it first and get to know the tools, since it's different from picking up a pen 🙂 It took me a bit to get used to and I'm also still very new...

I'd hate to be drawing and then struggle to find the pen I want... that's like sitting down on a painting and realizing you only have thick brushes but want to do details

I recommend have a good soft brush that you like and a hard brush

#

Really depends on what you do but a flat brush can work you wonders too

I’m looking for one myself
