first time rendering a drawing, what the hell do i do with the hair

Hello! I'm new here but I think I can offer you some advice. The way you pick colors is really good! I think you shouldn't draw individual lines in the background though since the focal point is the top of your hair.

Of course I'm just a beginner artist myself and it's just my opinion

I also have issue with choosing the right color to match the hair thats further away from the screen but ill just wing it

I've seen popular artist use desaturated colors for hair in the back and they look awsome. I guess you can try that.
