#would you consider this a study? is this a good way to learn anatomy?

You dont need to make things over-detailed
Plus you dont even need to learn how to draw skulls
My guy
U gotta just answer the question
Stop telling ppl to stop everything they doing
Knowing how to draw the skull allows you to more accurately place features on the face. As well as practice shapes
And yes this counts as a study
Very nice work
thank you very much @chrome topaz ! So basically a study is analyzing what step by step why some shapes go where and stuff
by the way in on itself I find it very entertaining to draw these anatomical parts, its neat
great thing about art is a study can be about anything! wether its from the shape of the skull, to the shading on the skull itself. a stuyd can be broad or specific. all a study is, is just you looking into and trying out a certain topic of art. and maybe writing some notes about things you notice
that you may forget or want to remeber in the future
I'll try doing that too
Yes and that’s sick!
wrong. knowing the skull helps u place the proper muscles on which is what the skin showcases. maybe you should do some skull studies
good studies tbh. i rec doing more angles than just the front and 3/4. the back and side will help ya in the future
I’m pretty terrible with drawing heads (anatomy in general) so I just cover it with hairrr lmaooo but it still can look fucked bc the hair still has to come from la skull…. Props to you for studying! You inspire me
ain't funny
don't insult ppl
an example of a joke would be like "you say that but tbh idk if your THICK skull could understand it"
or another example, would be just looking at you as a person
he didnt mean it as a joke the first time lol, he said something stupid then when people got mad he doubled down 💀
I know bro ☠️
Good point
I Aint even remember what i said, Also give me one reason as to why i would intentionally hurt someone
except you did when you replied with whatever this is lol
wdym? i never said you hurt anyone. and thats still a stupid argument even if i did.
And stop ignoring the fact that said it was a joke right after
wdym i didnt ignore the fact, thats literally what i pointed out 💀
yea you didnt. you said your opinion and then doubled down. it wasnt a joke until people said you were wrong
Yk two things can be true at once. It can be a stupid joke (from ur opinion) and still be hurtful
I Said sorry before anyone said anything
Your going to keep bringing this up arent you?
Go feed on something else
Said sorry and then proceed to do it on multiple posts
That was before
and they understood that it was a joke
i got in dms with most of em and were chill
we even collaborate and i tried to help them out
be a little more careful before you say something
where? you only said "its a joke" after sinn said thats bad advice
ohhh
wait this is like a multi post thread nvm 💀
Is this hurtful?
why do you keep bringing that up? who said it was hurtful?
.
maybe they meant hurtful as in bad advice.
Yeah you should probably concentrate a bit more
the only ones that constantly remind me about this are @untold salmon with outrageous grammar
and you
Like i said
I Became chill with the guys i said that to
yea because grammar has anything to do with this
I Told em it was ajoke and everything
It does because he called me out for it
as you say "em" and "aint"
you said it not me like
freedom of speech not freedom without consequence
you said something stupid
and get mad when people bring it up
Stop being so regardedf
Think
I'm only making fun of his grammar because he made fun of mine
why should i waste brainpower on you though
Then why should i bother debating on something so regarded
im not saying hes in the right for that but doesnt the saying go "dont fight fire with fire"
Go feed on something else
youre the one continuing the conversation
maybe youre the "regarded" one
But you dont know
the entire story
so dont bring me up out of no where
You want me to apologize? Thats done and yet you keep bringing me up
the fuck do you want me to do?
Cry about this incident for the rest of my life?
Just because i said you dont need to make things too detailed
im not saying this as a rude thing but is english not your first language?
is hurtful?
Its not my first
If theres something wrong with my english
can you tell me
i need to improve
if its not grammar related then lmk
its not really a grammar thing but more a social eitquette
but if you reply to someone then expect them to respond back.
this too
Wait what does that have to do with the language its self?
I'm only stating my point before i end things
you kept getting mad at me for replying to you
and you still kept making comments
hold on lemme think of an example
okay so say Tim and Bob are talking. Tim says "youre wrong" so Bob replies "no im not heres why, and heres my opinion". Then Tim gets mad at Bob for trying to share his own opinion and belittling Tim's.
idk if that makes sense, im not good at explaining.
but youre tim and im bob.
Omg this is a joke, dude you started this off with just saying that what he did was useless, then said he was doing it wrong anyway
That’s rude, joke or not, end or story.
im talking to u @real iron , not vhav
Uhh get better dude. Don't do rude jokes from now on
My way to learn anatomy is to understand the shapes of a part you want to work on. Suggest perspective drawings and breaking down complex to basic forms. What you're doing already is good so if can, try to put them into simplistic shapes with perspective, and vice versa. Repeat this and it would be a study well done.
That was a cool read ...
You mean not jumping to shading and values right? Bc I cant really help to "finish" my "studies" everytime. :\ I should really practice forms on themselves and their perspectives ONLY. At least, thats what I feel it should be? Drawing as a hobbyst is like wandering in a thick mist.
Speaking of,
I have made this portrait of Captain Picard. I cant post on Reddit for some f. reason where I usually ask for criticism. I am open to receive constructive feedback if ya'll are up to it. Thank you very much
( I already see the angle is off )
the lighter version is my first "ok Its done" drawing before I moved my eyes elsewhere and saw a bunch of mistakes.
( also now that I look at it on my pc, I can see the angle of the eyes is not aligned to the already wrong angle of the head )
have you tried drawing a grid over the refrence? that helps me a lot with positioning of the face and stuff
That would not work with me. Too much preemptive effort. By the time I finished the grid I'm bored. Plus I'm trying to learn eyeballing sizes and distances, thr grid method just doesn't fit with me. I'm doubting loomis itself
the whole point of art is trying something new. how long have you been using the loomis method? art takes time, you cant give up on something because it takes too long. and art is a mostly boring process. ive been working on a background for a drawing for around 2 hours, art takes time.
i accidentially said art takes time twice but you get my point
