Hi Nicole, I had the same issues when starting to draw animals. The thing you should definitely start with is identifying the parts of the animal. Like humans there is a head, pelvis and arms and legs. Obviously they will be differently drawn but it’s good to start with learning how to identify what animals have what parts, where they are and how to draw them. There are many guides online that break them down, they are about an hour long but they’re worth it.
After you’ve simply identified and somewhat know the parts of the animals anatomy you can start refining. Use tons of references and practice! You don’t need to know every single animal. Just start with a few
Thank you I appreciate for Ur help

I saw guid of animals on Pinterest they seems easy to draw ngl. I just started working one rn into this and I used my watercolor for the first time on this dog, I can't seem to do the eyes right to me they different eyes compare to human since their eyes and more big and round and the nose are bit difficult, do you maybe know how to improve it? And maybe tell me any mistakes I made it would be great if you can so I can improve next time
Hi there. I recommend not starting so complicated. Practice doing gesture drawings of animals instead of focusing on the small details. Watch videos and look at how the eyes are drawn. I hope this helps. Also try find some pictures that show the full body. This way you can improve faster. Portraits like this photo isn’t necessarily good for practicing animal anatomy.
