#what can i fix?

I mean theres little to no shading going on. Plus the hair looks like two blobs of hair with no actual variation especially the front. Plus the front really blends in with the skin
Without lineart its really down to how you handle colors and shading
Also i find it odd the eyes are fully colored when theres hair blocking some if not all of it
cause i still want the eyes to show up

i'll add more shading and darken the front hair though
You dont have to fully color them
You can keep lineart
But its weird to show eye color when its covered with hair even if theres lineart for the eyes
ok
I think the eyes look fine like that. I've seen all kinds of styles where they choose the eyes to appear under n I think it's cute. The only glaring problem is the lack of clarity between the bangs n the skin. You could get around this by adding shading Orr you could make the skin like more fleshy, Add a blush. Your whites are very similar!
Im saying like this i see as normal. Showing all colors through hair idk i just find it weird. Imo the eye lineart should blend in with the hair but still obviously being eyes
ok bro i get it i understand 😭🙏🏼
how's this
Try and make the hair be easily discernible for where it ends and skin begins. It all really blends into eachother
If i turn the saturation off it looks like it is one and the same and that the hair and skin aren’t supposed to be different
like this?
what should i add to make it easily distinguishable
That line does help a lot, maybe adding the same color to the eyebrows as the eyes would better Show that theyre under the hair
I was more meaning make the value be visibly different between the bangs and skin
yeah, you could try putting the same gradient that's on the bottom of the hair on the bangs too
Bangs are also way more yellow than the rest of the hair which i do find a little odd
cus it's a light

zlawg i can't do that that's the character design...
that's the shadow
Make her left eye invisible
Why cant you make the bangs darker?
because the bangs are lighter??
than the um
back hir
hair
and if i made it even darker it'd be the same color
basically
Like its actually dyed a different color?
But why do the bangs need to be the same value as the skin? That’s the main question
Her hairline is kinda weird ngl her eyes are not even halfway up her head
Huge ass forehead
It's gonna look blended together if they're so similar
cause that's the design choice the person who wanted me to make the drawing wanted?
I still feel you can make the bangs and skin visibly different
well first of all it's a guy 😭 and also they are he just has big bangs
My bad
i mean i'll like try to darken it
If you have a comissioner, shouldn't you be asking them how they feel about the hair?
like this dark?
Down by the skin
i did and they wanted the front hair to be pale like the slin?
skin*
It still can be darker but also pale
I mean if that's what they want then give them skin colored hair
that's not what i said
As long as the Client is happy, values and shit don't really matter
And when it comes to picking colors you should experiment with how to make the different colors be easy to tell where it begins and ends
"They want the hair pale like the skin"
Ig there's a few ways to interpret that but it sounds like they want skin colored hair to me
this is as dark as i can get it without getting it to blend into the bakc hair
BCK
back
i'll prob lower the shading too
The values are still really similar but I honestly don't think that matters
does it look better
The goal was to make it less flat and that has definitely happened
Oh yeah man
Justcompare to what you started with
The change is insane
Yeah that sticker combined with that response is… interesting to say the least💀
Whoever drew that emoji is not seeing the pearly gates
