Its very pretty, but the shoulders look a little stiff
Thx!^^
Arm going out to fish looks a bit odd, not sure if there is an attempt to use foreshortening.
Red area looks too busy while the green is too empty
There can be some blur on the background near the city to show how far away it is
As mentioned by someone else. The shoulders are too high up. You can also use some soft light to add some soft ligjting coming from the lanterns to help out the lantern marks
The lanterns aren't reflecting light enough
I agree, the lighting isnt quite right. The figure is picking up light from all over the place but it doesnt seem to be sourced from the lanterns. -- but this could be an opportunity to do some VERY FUN dramatic lighting. I have mentioned to a few people on here to research Film Noir lighting techniques to get ideas for dramatic almost-totally-dark scenes. Not that you NEED to light things like a film-noir scene, but...use some of the heavy dark shadows and stark spotlight effects to do something cool
what if the lighting was more like this:
I think for many people on here wanting to do dramatic comic book stuff, film noir lighting is a great idea to add a lot to your work
