I for a long while have wanted to start selling stuff for me to be able to make some additional money alongside my current job. And im getting pretty confident in my art that i am considering at least figuring out designs for me to be able to sell due to the fact that my own characters are still under development design wise thats off the table. The next best thing is to create fan merch. However im unsure what to do for that. Ik that some companies have rules against creating merch from their properties. Also i dont want to end up getting sued by a multi million dollar company. How do i find out who has what rules? To start lets go with genshin, star rail, Zelda, demon slayer and disney. Id like to learn how to find these things and identify what the different things. If anyone can help with this that would be amazing

And im thinking just to stick to stickers for the time being because those are lower risk in comparison to say enamel pins or keychains. Plus i dont have a button press
You can make fanmerch of any fandom tbh if you use workaround keywords lol. But ik genshin and star rail encourages fanmarch whilst nintendo and disney is against it. Esp nintendo.
Most of the info ik is from word of mouth. But im p sure u can find it in the companys lengthy copyright paperworks
I have two suggestions. One, it may help you to create a long list of questions, then find and hire a lawyer for an hour, one that specializes in intellectual property rights. Two, find this book. Not everyone follows the rules in here, but it will help you ask the right questions. https://www.amazon.com/Graphic-Artists-Guild-Handbook-16th/dp/0262542390/ref=asc_df_0262542390?tag=bngsmtphsnus-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=80814222102165&hvnetw=s&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4584413749417806&psc=1
And I would not bother buying it, find it at the library
Do you know if any of these animes/shows have open for fan merch policies? Avatar the last airbender, demon slayer, my hero academia, and fullmetal alchemist
