How long are you taking on them?
-
Are you doing sketches? Linework only? Flats? Full render?
-
What platforms are you using currently?
I use Instagram and discord as my main two platforms. And yes I do all kinds like sketches full render and flats, and usually I take 5 hours on a fully rendered piece
I already made a commission sheet but I need advice first
Ok. So
- Start advertising. Make a post that includes examples, prices, modes of payment and tos. Everything needs to be legoble. The sideways font needs to be more clear. The text saying headshot, half body,,, is overlapping with the white lines. Makes it hard to read
- Charge at least minimum wage. So if full render is 5 hrs then itll be around 50 bucks. But its up to you to upcharge it further or downcharge depending on client base and skill level
- Be active on the social medias ur using. Try to use more social medias to broaden ur outreach. It becomes a chore but itll help with comms
Slight thing i want to point out with pricing dont downprice based on how long you take to do it over time. You doing it faster actually means youve been practicing and are more skilled. Thus making your time actually be worth more in the end. Ive seen people say “oh well this used to take me 4 hours but now it takes me 2. Guess im now charging 20 instead of 40”
Thank you all so much! I’ll make sure to take your advice. I’m making my commissions at a really low price since it’s my first time and I wouldn’t consider myself skilled enough. I’ll be sure to take your advice! Thank you!!! 💕💕
