Yes, that might be for the best

If you want to do that, delete the CNAME records and create A records instead for @ and www to the server IP

You need to delete the 2 CNAME records you have pointing at the .ca domain, not the records for your working ai subdomain

Looks like it's the right IP now, but your friend has a redirect that redirects it to the .ca domain

I don't have much experience with cpanel, so I can't really help there.

You need to make sure that there is a configuration for your domain, as well as your friends domain
