I got an email this morning:
"joystreethouse.com has been deleted from the account Library[.]mole@gmail[.]com's Account

It was deleted by Cloudflare on 2025-09-29 12:46:17 (UTC).

Common reasons why domains are deleted
For domains on the free plan, the nameservers weren’t updated with Cloudflare-provided ones within 4 weeks
When monitoring domain registration, we discovered that the DNS servers / nameservers no longer point to Cloudflare
Someone with access to the domain removed it

Was this domain deleted by mistake?
Don’t worry, just add the domain back to your account and we’ll re-apply the configurations you had before. Learn more about domain status and deleted domains."

In the DNS section, my NS were listed as my old wix nameservers, which I had switched in Namecheap weeks ago to the cloudflare NS. If I try to add the new NS in Cloudflare, it tells me "Content for NS record is invalid. NS records at the apex must not overwrite assigned nameservers."

The website joystreethouse.com still resolves correctly in my browser, so I'm noit sure what is going on. Thanks in advance for any insight! -KW

Based on the provided documentation, I found a relevant source that might help resolve the issue.

According to the Cloudflare documentation on troubleshooting full setup (https://developers.cloudflare.com/dns/zone-setups/full-setup/troubleshooting/), one of the common issues is that the nameservers at the registrar do not exactly match the values provided by Cloudflare.

In your case, you mentioned that you had updated the nameservers in Namecheap to the Cloudflare-provided ones weeks ago, but the DNS section in Cloudflare still shows the old Wix nameservers. This discrepancy might be causing the issue.

To resolve this, you can try the following:

  1. Verify that the nameservers at your registrar (Namecheap) exactly match the values provided by Cloudflare.
  2. If the nameservers match, try removing any additional nameservers listed at your registrar, as recommended in the Cloudflare documentation.
  3. If you're still experiencing issues, you can try waiting for a longer period, as some registrars may take up to 24 hours to update the nameservers.

Regarding the error message "Content for NS record is invalid. NS records at the apex must not overwrite assigned nameservers," it's possible that Cloudflare is detecting the mismatch between the nameservers at your registrar and the ones in your Cloudflare account.

If you're still unsure about the issue, you can try re-adding the domain to your Cloudflare account, as suggested in the email you received. However, make sure to double-check the nameservers at your registrar before doing so.

since I changed the ns in Namecheap to the new nameservers described in my Cloudflare DNS page, now the web page no longer resolves in my web browser. It defaults to a WIx page saying the domain has not been added to the website.

I don't have an A records (although it seems that I did before I changed the NS.) But even weirder, the ns at the bottom of my cloudflare dns page have changed from what they were an hour ago. I feel like CLoudflare is just messing with me

and now my website is back up. Whatever, cloudflare.

Which also explains why the domain was deleted from one account.

Are the pairs you see Arya/Aragorn and Nena/Sid?

at first I saw arya/aragorn, then I saw Nena/sid (which I changed to and that broke everything), then I went back to arya and now things are working again
