I am developing my website on my local machine and is exposed using cloudflared on my domain. It was working fine since I started using it but for the last 3 days, the response times have shot up significantly, taking minimum of 20s for a fetch to complete. I didn't change anything in my docker compose setup and I can see as well that my setup isn't the problem as I can see in my nginx logs that for the request taking too long to respond, the request doesn't even appear in the logs till after a long time and the response time from my nginx is in 0.1s.
I don't know what has happened in the past 3 days that is making the response times too long.

I am in India if that helps.

Any help would be appreciated

I also did a google search on this problem of long response times and they told me to check the CF-Ray header and the headers I am receiving have the suffix FRA, I am guessing that's from France? That's thousands of kilometers away from my location. Also, I already checked that it isn't because of my ISP as I switched from my local broadband provider to a hotspot from my telecom provider, JIO from Reliance which is a TIER-1 provider afaik. So, I guess this is a problem from Cloudflare's end. I hope this helps in investigating the issue.

FRA is Frankfurt (am Main), Germany

#

and yes it is an ISP issue as they can route however they want and love to backhaul to europe

On the scale of India, the difference in distance to france and Germany is not that huge

frankfurt has one of the largest international peering exchanges. a remarkable number of countries peer there rather than anywhere else, like half of africa

#

but that distance is about 50-100ms and is unlikely to be what you are observing
