Need more information. What exactly are you trying to do?
i'M trying to point the old cloudflare dns to the hosting website that I'm with
how do i do that?
@dense hollow
Where did you buy your domain?
on cloudflare @analog sapphire
So you want to point your domain to your website?
yes to a hosting site
What hosting site?
siteground
Is there a setting to add domain to the website in dashboard?
it's already added into my account
You can get help here
I think you should probably contact their support, since they are the ones that know what to add in your dns records.
do they have a number to get in contact with ?
I tried with (last four numbers 5273) and couldn't get through to them
@untold pulsar i did a quick search, and it seems siteground leverages cloudflare themselves?
are you sure that you need to change your dns settings to make this work?
i'm referring to this response by the siteground staff regarding domains from the cloudflare registrar
@untold pulsar You cannot change nameservers on a domain registered through Cloudflare. You need to get the website ip address from the website settings in siteground and create an A record in Cloudflare that points to that ip address.
thanks I figured it out "how to point to the dns"
make a dns record = A type
then enter the ip address of the host (if you can't find it call/contact them)
depending on who you're with leave it unproxied
ttl depends on who you are with as well (1-2 hrs or couple minutes)
