By enabling this tool, Cloudflare will compare content served for your website through the Cloudflare cache to known lists of CSAM.
As for legal trouble, I wont have to do anything other than delete the content right? I mean, it would be bad to see a letter to my door espically as a minor when all im trying to do is make an easy to use file host 😅
I'm not a legal expert to confidently answer your question, but I assume that as long you are not knowingly harbouring/hosting illegal content, such as CSAM, that you might be fine.
Hosting a public file host will always be a tricky thing that's going to get you in grey area either way, as malicious users absolutely love to make use of any public file host to upload their illegal content to, such as malware.
Disclaimer: I am a community volunteer and not a Cloudflare employee.
Personally I would recommend against trying your own public file host. Those things always attract bad flies, and next thing you know, it has all kinds of malware and other things on it.
