#.fr not available for registrar transfer?

it's just not one of the supported TLDs:
https://www.cloudflare.com/tld-policies/
You can always easily find out if something is supported or not by trying to register a random domain under it in the dash as well:
a lot of those ccTLDs aren't supported, getting a TLD onboarded is a lot of work on its own, and ccTLDs have special rules and are owned by a registry/operator who just owns them (so a lot of work for a single TLD vs going for an operator who owns more then one TLD)
and it seems ok -> it's "active" in cloudflare "websites" section.
You can use Cloudflare's CDN and such without transferring your domain. You get all the benefits/there's no extra perks for using CF Registrar. You just stick with your current registrar and keep paying them for domain fees, and keep your nameservers pointed at Cloudflare.
Thanks a lot for your detailed answer. For now, I'm not using my .fr domain name, so I wanted to transfer it to the cheapest possible registrar. I don't need any hosting service or web space. If there is another solution, I'm interested. Thank you.
can look on https://tld-list.com/tld/fr for cheaper ones, just be careful about which registrar you pick, as you are trusting them with your domain name
