Hi, I would like to transfer my .fr domain to cloudflare registrar, but it is "unsupported" on domain transfer page. I already changed "server name" in my ionos domain setting page, and it seems ok -> it's "active" in cloudflare "websites" section. could someone explain to me please?
thanks

a lot of those ccTLDs aren't supported, getting a TLD onboarded is a lot of work on its own, and ccTLDs have special rules and are owned by a registry/operator who just owns them (so a lot of work for a single TLD vs going for an operator who owns more then one TLD)

You can use Cloudflare's CDN and such without transferring your domain. You get all the benefits/there's no extra perks for using CF Registrar. You just stick with your current registrar and keep paying them for domain fees, and keep your nameservers pointed at Cloudflare.

Thanks a lot for your detailed answer. For now, I'm not using my .fr domain name, so I wanted to transfer it to the cheapest possible registrar. I don't need any hosting service or web space. If there is another solution, I'm interested. Thank you.
