the entire project was abandoned

#

tried more than a year to get more ppl into using it and made multiple shoutouts for sharing ideas/improvements

#

finally weighed the advantages and disadvantages and came to the conclusion that i did not gain any advantages from it being open source

#

i even had to do more stuff e.g. be more precise with releases and adding/maintaining some sort of docs

#

if there were any existing users, they can still use the latest version but no updates/bug fixes whatsoever will be released

@hard rose i mean what's the benefit of having it open source if i get no ideas/suggestions/bug fixes from the community? there's just no reason to continue maintaining it.

#

the project is not entirely dead as it's now a internal project and a update has also been released

Absolutely agree 💯. OSS can also take the fun out of it for you. It's YOUR project, use it the way you like and let it meet your needs.

Of course, OSS is great as well. However, it's not the solution to every problem

imo (ofc i'm a bit biased) i think that darkflare was better than hono in multiple ways

#

bc the project works on a deeper level and has control over the javascript bundle
