So yeah, I think most of us focussed more on getting the outside done and afterwards moved to the inside part, (for example, im still in the gathering furniture phase for my inside house but i hope i can finish it at some point)..
but now having more furniture limit outside + the new height system correctly in the game... I maybe switch to outside again.. its just a very slow prócess

i've had this same problem, it seems that season 2 had made it instead of the homestead having communal fields, each roommate has their own fields which they can now buy more of

which didnt let me harvest flowers i've planted before because the game claimed they werent "my fields"

it also didnt let me click on them in the edit menu to remove and replace them, but using the multi select draw feature actually bypassed this

or, im just completely wrong

I've heard the way it works now, is whomever placed the field itself, owns the crop and can harvest it. So if you want to harvest things and you can't you need to place your own fields down now

But because of this, each member of the homestead can place up to 20 fields each

So rather than sharing and fighting over the flowers, you have an equal amount each

So.. if you like make your house smaller with fake walls, and build inside your house a little garden and build your own windows to see that little garden you can "pretend" the windows are working and looking to the outisde world

halo, i want to ask, i saw a video but it was not very clear and i have tried many things but i am still confused, how can i get s-curved mandarin hydrangea? does it have to start from black flowers first and then be crossed until the flower appears? i do not really understand the aabbcc part so i am confused

in season 1 i did it like this, i got my black flowers and got the yellow s curve hydrangeas out of them at some point
In season 2 its kinda bugged so for me personally i kinda have to start from strach again, but i got 4 now again and go from there...

I think overall it just takes some time/days to get all of them into max coin flowers.. its a slow process,

its also useful to get pollution? Pollunating? from other homestead that you can borrow and spread onto your flowers to get a higher chance for them to become the correct one

that is a weird one, but yeah. each color has a kind of hex range to it based on the parent DNA that made it. so there can be two flowers with the same name but different degree of saturation/shading

once you have the flowers set up you'll average about 25k per harvest for each roommate. so between 5 people you shouldn't have much issue. its just a matter of sharing the costs with people and saving up for a few days for the more expensive stuff

So probably everything is possible to build in homestead, you just have to find creative solutions

What edasch means, is you’d need to create the illusion of fire using other objects. Kinda like how someone used blue hammocks to create the illusion of waves in a pool

just +1 or -1 is enough and its not really visible

Run a couple of unstables together. It takes like 3/4 iirc and all of 5 minutes

Like Eda said, increase height by +1 or -1 or just tune objects one tap in a direction. Sometimes it'll look odd but on wooden floors/objects, it looks more natural.

I've been tempted to make a Homestead basics guide but unfortunately to do so, I'd have to completely use an alt or something.

Our current homestead has some bad frame dips I guess due to everything we have.

Like I used to have a decent 80 to 90 fps when it was at least being started but now it sits at ~30 fps.

start on thinking what style/type/theme you want to go with

afterwards just plan ahead

how many rooms you want to make?, next, where are they going to be?

then you start testing wallpapers and flooring for those rooms, picking the one you saw it looked better, etc.

thats how I approached my homestead lol
