Never reset purples early, if anything give them another generation or 2 of growing after they turn all the same color. Black flowers from a purple which can make them are still relatively rare (25% at best).

Its a lot more complicated than 25%. You first need to hit ~50% to be able to produce black flowers. Then theres some advanced statistics to check how many cycles it takes to get one, with the highest chance of being 25% for one flower to become black (some will have 0% until next generation).

You don't even need purple rarity. I got blacks yesterday from a blue rarity orange tulip (aabb that costs 50, I think it's orange)

But ideally purple rarity will give you more chances

Still tho, somehow I'm feeling colors matter more than rarity and I already saw quite a lot of people specifically getting same color crosses for days with light blue and purple main tulips

I trained it on a cpu in about an hour, this is a tiny visual model which mostly pre-dates GPT/large language models. Also people are colorblind.

If they're all purple, you are doing fine. Just leave the ones in the center and plant 4 fresh seeds around it and that should resolve the issue for you.

There's a whole spreadsheet about prices and etc, but you basically want a black flower with an specific shape in the center of a cross, it will eventually create the perfect purple with perfect color/shape, then you can pick it up and see the price for each flower (193 bis, 190 also great), then replant ir far from all plants, wait for it to grow, then put it in the middle of a cross so it can create copies of itself.

You can then either keep it in the center of a cross until you get all copies, or as soon as you get a copy u can put the child copy in the center of the cross because it won't be able to create a black flower, something like that.

Ideally you want to separate every copy you get from the perfect flower, so it can't change genetics and you can keep replanting it getting the same flower every time.

I currently have lvl 8 home + 2 roomies. I’m looking to leave and go join another homestead, but I don’t see the option. Do I have to terminate my roomies and then I can leave?

There is a yellow color hydrangea that is worth 193 gold each if it's the right stem type. Those are the ones to chase after you've gotten your 10 black flowers if homestead gold is your goal

A really good way I figured it out is it looks like blue clay

I use a face mask that’s a similar color so it’s noticeable once you really lock in the color

The irl colors for black flowers can already be done too on flowery accents on clothes

You’d basically just go to purple on the pallet and scroll along the bottom portion

And you’ll get the base for most flowers that are black

Only the planter can harvest a flower, but roommates can harvest pollen from it once or just grow flowers next to it so it can automatically pollinate them until they get their own black flower.

If they then use the pollen on a flower in its pollination phase, it will have the same effect as if that flower matured next to an already mature black flower. This will greatly increase the odds of it becoming black with better chances each time the same flower is replanted and pollinated by a black flower.

And yes, Flowers do not disappear unless harvested.

If you approach a flower in the pollination phase, it will be available to use. However, I don't think it shows up in your inventory as of now.

They're grayish. There is a white beige flower, but it is not black. There are example black flowers in the pins.

it's actually a bit further for north/east sides (~1-1.3 tiles) due to its origin point not being completely centered. So ideally always 1.5+ tiles away minimum.
