Personally play whatever feels comfortable. For a limited time, you have the ability to try out 2 classes at the very least. So go ahead and play what you want to play.
You'll mostly get biased opinions here, so it's best to make your mind. It's easy to swap classes in S2 than it was in S1.

Laz, if you want a small list of things to focus on, every day, do 2 unstable dungeons, and use your keys for world bosses and world elite mobs. Keep pushing the main story, and any quests you have.
also if your focus gets close to 2000, use it on smelting growth items exclusively (or gathering materials to smelt)

at that refinement seems like a waste of resources, with the odds being crappy
