Yeah start with this. If you go for crit I guess you are icicle spec, so your void pieces should give you plenty crit, either way it isnt usually recommended to go past 4 void gear pieces since purple stats can be quite valuable, but take this with a grain of salt since I am not too familiar with the class.
To give an example as a skyward I have 4 pieces without crit and I reach 40% crit comfortably, so even if you are frostbeam you should be able to reach that threshold.

I think the seabreeze boxes from homestead commissions can drop them and other mats, but generally yeah those have to be bought and can't be farmed for, like some of the artisanry mats

Farming Loom takes around 30 minutes, the amount of currency you get is dependent on how many Smites you have but a good estimate is 600-700 per run.
Even if you round that up to 1000 per run ( one gear piece ) the problem is a gear drop is guaranteed after 5 dungeon runs, in which case it's a 50% chance to be the piece you farm for ( unless you account for the rare weapon drop )
If you have 3 minute runs then you can get at least 2 gear drops in a 30 minute time frame with the possibility of more.

Brigand Scout is better early to mid game, they are somewhat even late game but Brigand is the better choice when you take into account boss mechanics causes Muku Scout passive to drop off when you can't keep constant aggression.
It can also help you hit the needed attack speed thresholds easier.

Farming Dungeons, yeah, is true that you can get like 600+ Flowers for the Harvest Store with a god tier party, but with an average party (that can complete the 15 rounds), you will get approx. 400 flowers, that means is better to only buy the 5 Gear Boxes of 400 Flowers and farm the rest in Dungeons (or if you are bored to do Dungeons, you can do World Bosses trains and kill them in autocombat with a chance of a Gear Box)
