I don't know how much Ability Power? You get from embed gems, it doesn't seem to be that much but it is nice for increasing your overall DPS.
If on a budget, I'd at least embed level 5 gem into weapon we are getting 80 gear relatively soon so if you don't need the DPS gain to make a difference you don't need to force embed into armors as a newer player.

We do have the limited event where you get a title for hitting 2000 mastery score, that's the only reason to do it before M6 comes out

M6 will wipe away all M5 scores and you need to do it to farm 80 gear anyway

As for harder raids, you get Throne "Pure Gold" for 90 and later 100 weapon plus 80 raid materials

Example:
As a DPS, I'd rather have +50 mastery than +600 Max HP
But I'd rather have +1.5% STR than +50 mastery.

Since you can always dismantle the gear into 100% of what you put into it, it's a good option before you obtain your BIS pieces.

No, i dont think so? More difficult to stun is due to it getting the same CC over and over so u need to time it with different CCs
