I wasn't affected by the ban wave, but I am throwing an ultimatum of going through a crime-complaint to the CNPD for CLEAR violation of the RGPD by Gameforge. Gameforge's headquarters are based in Germany, meaning they are under the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Counsil and the April 27 2016 Data Protection law.
Taking into account that there are hundreds of people complaining of unfair ban, even some that I know personally, it is clear that these are false-positives, and need to be addressed as such, as soon as possible.
Besides, if we take a look at the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Counsil and the April 27 2016 law, Gameforge is OBLIGED to provide all user data to users and clearly inform them which softwares they "detected" in order to trigger a ban. If they don't do it, it is a clear violation of the same Regulation, because every user has the RIGHT to obtain EVERY data legitimately.
The way bans were distributed makes me believe that data are being incorrectly obtained and analized. Gameforge must work this out, solve the situation however it need be, and compensate players for all damage caused because, if they refuse to do so, they may incur in a serious crime in which penalties may reach 20% of their yearly income.

If they don't do it, it is a clear violation of the same Regulation, because every user has the RIGHT to obtain EVERY data legitimately.
The way bans were distributed makes me believe that data are being incorrectly obtained and analized. Gameforge must work this out, solve the situation however it need be, and compensate players for all damage caused because, if they refuse to do so, they may incur in a serious crime in which penalties may reach 20% of their yearly income.

Only in a day people got together for the unfair bans at TR community. This is the day we r looking for an answer otherwise gameforge is going to lose probably half percent of their player(costumer) tonight. And as a player we all know no one likes to play the metin2 without many players in servers so the rest of the players will gone soon

I wasn't affected by the ban wave, but I am throwing an ultimatum of going through a crime-complaint to the CNPD for CLEAR violation of the RGPD by Gameforge. Gameforge's headquarters are based in Germany, meaning they are under the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Counsil and the April 27 2016 Data Protection law.
Taking into account that there are hundreds of people complaining of unfair ban, even some that I know personally, it is clear that these are false-positives, and need to be addressed as such, as soon as possible.
Besides, if we take a look at the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Counsil and the April 27 2016 law, Gameforge is OBLIGED to provide all user data to users and clearly inform them which softwares they "detected" in order to trigger a ban. If they don't do it, it is a clear violation of the same Regulation, because every user has the RIGHT to obtain EVERY data legitimately.
The way bans were distributed makes me believe that data are being incorrectly obtained and analized. Gameforge must work this out, solve the situation however it need be, and compensate players for all damage caused because, if they refuse to do so, they may incur in a serious crime in which penalties may reach 20% of their yearly income.
