- Old nearly dead battery and not strong enough power source (try with an original wall charger)
- Drive might be getting dead and asks for too much power for the battery during spin up/head check - also dying hdds sometimes cause this kind of behaviour.
- For sure battery should be replaced anyway and HDD might die any moment.

Something like this happened to me once. I got it working by putting it in disk mode and charging. After a few hours it worked for me, but idk if it’s the same thing

it had a new battery upon purchase from EOE and was sold as working so idk what happened lmao
but yeah i was almost sure it was a drive issue 🥀🥀

"New" means a month ago, or 2 years ago? liion batteries might go bad in 2 years and after one to deep discharge (it can be even that you leave it on the shelf for 3 months after full discharge).
