I've rebuilt the rest of an ipod 5 classic no problem, but the hard drive was actually the issue and I can not fit the ribbon far enough into this iflash solo. It goes in no further whether it's in the lock or unlock position on the port. Could it be a defective iFlash? Is there something I'm doing wrong. I'm pushing it in about as hard as is possible and trying to jiggle in to fit, but it feels blocked.

Update. Got the smaller cord and it fits, but unfortunately now when i plug it in to turn it on the screen turns white only and there is a high pitched whining sound coming from the iflash solo. anyone experience that? Is the hard drive reader a dud?
