I decided to put a movie on my ipod before i leave. But when i try to encore or compress or whatever, there isint a apple 240p preset. most tutorials i look at just choose that preset and everything works, but its not there for me. and they're from a couple of years ago so the app layout is different. I could use some help to put the movie on my ipod. i have a regiulair 5th gen classic

you need 360p lmao
for ipod video
ipod video uses 360p
also theres a much easier way to convert ipod videos much easier
put the video file in your itunes home videos
click on it
click on file (top left)
then convert and make ipod or iphone version
then it will make another video which is ipod compatible
i use this method
i've used itunes to change the format before, but from my expirience and from other's its not a very good tool. ill try this. thanks
it didnt work for me but then i switched to new ichewns and then it worked perfect ever since
cause i was using an older itunes
but for me personally
handbrake didnt work
where is the home videos section?
Top left there is a thing
Where you see your iPod
At the top left
You can choose
Songs
Theres like a drop down
Lemme find a photo
is there another way of putting it in the movies without drag n drop? because that does nothing
when i drag the video over it has a lil blue outline but nothing else happens
Don’t
You can also
Top left
Right under view
There is a “Music” drop down
Hit that
And then home videos should show up
i dont know what i did but it somehow appiered
Now
Just
Click on it once
The video
And then hit file
File > Convert > Create iPod or iPhone version
Also i would suggest marking the non-iPod version as watched
You can just right click on it and mark as watched so you can tell the difference between iPod and non-iPod version
i think i wont delete the thread
Talking from experience lmfao
No worries
I exported a near 6 hour video once
Took ages
aaah
So yeah
Real neat to have videos on those kinda things
They aren’t called iPod Videos for nothing
aight man thanks so much, i see youre tryna help another guy so i wont take your time up
@lusty nexus did you figure it out
Yes
