c78 intact, click wheel not working

i flash modded my ipod mini gen 2 and everything was working fine until the language selection screen showed up, just couldnt move or select anything. Anyone know a fix?

My theory is that there is a torn off solder joint on the ribbon cable that leads to the plug

Yeah might just be a bad clickwheel cable

From the very little I got on google I’m going to take it they’re meant to be soldered

So I’d try and resolver those joints using a soldering iron

if it doesnt work ill see if i can find a replacement click wheel
