my ipod wont connect to my pc

hello so my ipod classic 4g wont get reconsiged by itunes, is there any way to fix this

Did you install iTunes from Apple’s website or from the windows store?

Does the iPod show up in File Explorer?

nope, but windows is giving me the plugged in sound

so something must be happening

Do you have another cable to try? Is the iPod working normally otherwise? Does the iPod show the “Do not disconnect screen”?

I need more info to be able to help

nope. but the USBtest option in the ipod diagnostics menu is giving me ID=0x22FA05

im going to reinstall the ipod driver gere

Ok. My recommendation is to find another cable to try. If that doesn’t work, then there is probably an issue with board

Did you already try putting it in disk mode?

yep, it only says "ok to disconnect"

Yeah probably a board issue if it’s not the cable

check for bent pins in the port

but as i said im going to try reinstalling the driver and see if that does anything

hmm yea, it doesnt look like thats working, as its not even showing up in device manager

and the cable works as i restored the ipod with it yesterday

imma try on my linux machine incase its a windows issue

high chance its a windows issue

so its not a windows issue

its a board issue as its not reciving power

imma try from the wall but its not taking any from my pc
