put higher prio on utility items. Watch Dpei's TFT fundamental videos on youtube.
Check tftflow or tftacademy. Not to copy, but to understand.
the general must haves:
3 item tank
3 item carry
anti heal
pen - based on main carry damage type (anti-mr or anti-armor)
traits for ur carry and tank active
Think about what stats the unit wants, and not specific items in most cases. Outliers like Rageblade on AP kaisa or IE for Yunara do exist. its hard to copy guides 1 to 1 because each tft game progresses differently.
Not going in depth because I am pretty sure if you fix itemization, you will climb anyways.
