#pets taunt

There are treasure effects that dramatically increase your taunt for skeleton warriors.
yeah but it still takes a while for them to grab aggro on multiple targets when i have to shoot first to get them in combat
As an avid necro player I'd like to second the AoE taunt idea for swords. Manipulating your swordsmen pets to hit all the enemies in a small pack is possible, but really annoying to juggle
and it can be tied to the threat mod
Zombie already has really high taunt, and necro is a really popular skill so doesn't need buffs
Zombie also tends to fall over to a stiff breeze, so the high taunt is rather moot for them imo.
Skeletal swords seem to be oriented towards making them good tanks, but lack any way to meaningfully hold down any number of targets greater than one.
I'd be down to move the taunt strength of zombies over to swords if buffing the class as a whole would be problematic.
You would be shocked what the top necros do with that zombie, then 😛
I haven't touched much content past gaz keep so I probably would be shocked
I dont use zombie i think its a subpar and annoying pet to handle with not good mods at all! I rather use any other necro skill to be honest
The way you deal with agro and necro Is with swordmans and the hand (root) theres i think 2 mods for swordman taunt, generally 1 Is good. They dont have AoE so you have to hit targets for them to take aggro off you
So depending on how strong and where are you farming, yo could use 2 swordman or combinations of swordman/mage-archer
Well ah has both a pet attack and taunt i just want one of those as well
And when you provoke swordman they get mad and do rage stuns attack.
Not against adding an AoE skill for them to agro but i think its kinda already resolved the way it is, as a necro you just have to handle distances so you give time to the swordman to aggro and switch targets
And the taunt mods make the difference
I have 2 mods on and i still get hit a bunch before he can grab em
I would be perfectly fine with a sic em button
I like that because it makes the necro target the enemies attacking them. If You hit something with for example a basic attack that forces your pets on aggresive to focus your target, if something is chasing you, You root. If You pull too many you run.
Swordman generally can take over aggro quick.
I do body pulls for dangerous stuff and let the skeles take agro before i cast any damaging spell so i hardly ever get the agro for more than a couple of seconds
Yeah it makes it more exciting to have to root i just believe as a PET class i should have a lil more control of my pets
And most of the time i have no problem cept at bosses when the have 8 guys that stun and decemate me fast cause they move fast (ranalon) so you just cant really do that strategy
The thing is, a lot of AH's skills are taken up by those pet-control abilities. If necro had those and also all of the existing damage and control skills, that diminishes AH's identity. And it does it to benefit necro, which doesn't exactly need a buff.
but having one hey go and fight this command is a basic pet ability not saying that they should have all of em just the ability to have some control of your pets besides just auto attack making them fight
and im not sayin to take the fire from AH but every mmo that i have played that had pet classes always had a way to send your pet in to fight
