Bug 1: occlusion setting makes trees flicker, this is solvable by disabling screen space occlusion
Bug 2: as seen in screenshots and video: https://vimeo.com/1081113572?share=copy#t=0

HD grass bushes turn into white low-resolution things in the distance and flicker heavily. In some areas this is very noticeable and annoying
I don't think these grass bushes are affected by grass setting either, so they probably count as bushes.
Additional suggestion: allow us to completely disable grass

Set grass density to 0 to disable grass

OHHH I just noticed you might not have Antialiasing on. The game (or your GFX card) can do this. I recommend FXAA because it's a less resource-heavy algorithm for general game-play. Screenshots of high detail and regard should have the other setting (I forget what it is, and also forget to enable it everytime I take a screenie I'd like in high quality form)

#

That weird behavior for faraway objects of fine detail has been with us for many a decade

You cant set grass to 0, it resets back to 0.3 or something. And yes i turned off antialising, it looks horrible

Type in the value in the box
I think either this USED to work, or I am misremember. Grass draw distance similarly.

#

Although enabling "Low-Res Ground" seems to help

I'm trying setting graphic setting to good instead of ultra, and will see if this works after im done crafting with the jam buffs

Ultra is a bit of a "let your GFX card deal with the unoptimized elements", and probably only good for screenies for most sub-apex systems

I set it to that figuring game is 10y old, my new pc surely can handle it, lol.

#

So far it looks way better, but im not in povus yet

They disabled the disable grass setting because it made foraging too easy.

Grass 0 did used to work and was glorious because some of the things that count as grass are giant FPS hogs, looking at you Povus mushrooms, then the minimum was put in forcing me to actually have it big instead because I hate pop in like nothing else.

#

Might be right off but maybe those bushes come under the highres/tree billboard setting instead of grass and it might be worht changing that to check.

Update, unfortunately the grass/bushes flickers still in povus even on 'good' graphic setting, (downsized from ultra)
