#Player Made App
1613 messages · Page 2 of 2 (latest)
Love this. Are there any plans to include other tradeskills like gadgeteering?
yeah I can add it, I've added them as I came across them and used them because it's pretty time intensive to pull recipes I'll add gadgeteering later today
maybe it'll be possible for me to pull the recipes from the game data but I haven't tried doing that I've been pulling them from the wiki
awesome ty!
would be cool for surveying if high level surveying would give you more tools for surveying without relying on third party apps heh

Please reserve this space for sharing player made applications or discussion of applications.
this is added now, I haven't checked any of the recipes if you see any that are wrong let me know
Awesome thanks! and will do
Working on an app that streamlines work orders (and quests), to help maximize time and efficiency when performing work orders or leveling industry. Right now it's in a pretty good spot, but still a few features I'd like to add. Spending a lot of time getting a shopping list and route planner working, and so far so good.
On top of the work order related part, it also can provide a list of all missing recipes that the character could learn, and provides NPC information relevant to each unlearned recipe (for those that are taught by NPCs)
Would be really great to have more character and inventory jsons to plug into this to test with. Right now only have a few. The more the merrier.
little snapshot
If you're interested in helping, or for some reason have a bunch of character and inventory jsons that you could share with me, that would be great. If you'd like to share your character and inventory jsons then I will send you the reports it provides suggesting how to go about completing your work orders!
This is the most useful app ive used so far for gorgon. really good job here
little snapshot 2, showing part of the route planner for a loaded character.
example of simplified outputted text detailing the route steps (for copying to player's in-game notebook, or anywhere their heart desires)
this looks cool
I am incredibly biased, but I agree with you!
I have a ton of my character storage jsons I could share if that would help
I never delete them so they just pile up lol
that would be aaaaamazing.
I’ll be back on my pc in a bit, I’ll DM you when I am
That's awesome. Thank you so much!
off-hand, do you know how deep the deepest recipe goes? Like how many steps from base ingredient to the final item
I've gotten to 5 clicking around, trying to find a deeper one XD
is particularly relevant to my interests
built it out to accomodate 5....and now 7, just in case.
Is this a pre-built framework or did you make it yourself? It seems pretty general-use and would be great for other games like FFXIV if you could just upload a json of recipes.
nothing pre-built
I would be curious how it would handle FFXIV jsons XD
there are so many references to the specific structures of the PG jsons that it would almost certainly come out of my rig and slap me for trying, though.
I use to make a similar thing in Excel for crafting in New World and wondered why there wasn't a framework for something like this. Would be really neat.
I do not, recipes are computed at runtime in my app, so when it pulls up an item it checks if the components that make it are themselves malleable and then adds them to the tree.
Got a few volunteers that provided their export jsons and it made a huge difference in helping me chase down problems. Would love to have more data to help root out the bugs. There are so many different factors at play when planning work order routes that it is a monumental task to account for perfect routing that works for every near-infinite number of possible combinations of items in storage/skill levels/recipes known/favor levels, but it's surprisingly able to handle quite a bit more than I would've expected.
how do i get you the data u want
i havent really done any work orders so not sure if its still useful to you? i have crafted quite a bit tho
actually found it, ill send to u on PM
Thank you! That is still very useful even without work orders. Having work orders active, higher industry level, or contracts in your storage will give more to look at but everything is good data
Hey, looking for some help on the PG survey map app. . I have the app setup, the boxes I think are correct, and the chat under VIP is setup. But, it isn't picking them up as a I read the surveys. Any advice?
I am also going to give the other survey tool a swing by @ionic lion and see if that works instead.
Did you set your location at the bottom of the map overlay, and then run to that spot and then use the surveys? It'll put a green dot on the map where it expects you to be standing when you then read the surveys.
It is!
green dot is there, red dots aren't popping up
Select the zone being surveyed, and the location from where you're starting. Make sure your actual location in the game and the one selected in PgSurveyor match, otherwise the program will be completely lost and visual clues won't make any sense...
Well you didn't follow instructions
This is copied directly from the GitHub instructions. You have to select the location in that box and go to it before clicking any surveys
I have the gith hub intsructions up. There's a section on it there.
Sorry also jugggling 3 kids.
If you look at your location relative to the location you selected in that screenshot, you'll see that your survey's offset is identical to yours relative to the secondary bowl green dot
So if you go to the secondary bowl, the green dot, they'll line up.
Have to go to the location you selected before clicking any surveys
Ya, def. So, it should be your location. So I had the right idea, but, I need to be at that spot first.
Thanks, appreciated.
Yeah, can't just click surveys from anywhere. It checks the chat log output that says "survey is X and Y distance away" and then puts the red dot on your map that many meters away on the overlay. So if you're in the wrong spot, it'll be wrong.
And if your map overlay isn't lined up perfectly there will be inaccuracies but as long as it's close it's generally still going to work pretty well. Can take some finagling to get it perfect
YOu're awesome for taking the time to explain. and in such a nice way. Appreciated. Especially when I just needed to read a bit more.
Or a bit more carefully
Your maps need to be in rows of 10
or you need to adjust the row length in a custom settings file
Is ok bb. Only juggling one kid here
Much better now.
1 kid is still a lot. lol
There you go!
added a new thing to pgemissary.com optional way to scan / upload pricing data from vendor stalls... it has about a 90-95% success rate in OCR parsing, so not perfect, but works pretty quickly / well. https://pgemissary.com/vendor-prices
Sure would! Not sure how well it will handle a character's storage json without the character json as well, but we can find out. Multiple storage jsons are good, lets me check against changes while maintaining the character stats. Would probably work just fine
OK I can send the character jsons too if I have them. Checkig now
Thank you very much! Chasing down a bug in the route planner that's recommending unnecessary extra stops if the player elects to skip buying an item at stop 1... It keeps creating new stops to buy an item, even if there is a vendor that sells that same item in a zone that was already on the route.
I don't want detours, I want a streamlined solution!
-- and I chased that one down and killed it. Now to see what broke with that fix. Good times!
It is working well to recommend routes now but you have to read them through because some steps are out of order still (like recommending crafting kilderkegs in step 2, even though it's not suggesting buying or crafting quarter hoops until step 4). But I think that's almost figured out.
Either way hoping to get something out to everyone over the weekend. Just in time for the industry bonus to disappear.
i do work orders waaaay too much
@fallen yacht Awesome tool K. Are you still maintaining it? If so, any plans on the combat log to add the ability to review a whole play session and show by fight? instead of just last 30s to 2m of fighting?
@solar lantern - Can you modify PGChef to sort from highest to lowest recipe by cooking level? I dont see an option to sort the list
Good idea! I have a few other things to put in first (meal type - vegetarian or not - gourmand report check), but sorting options are on the list now. 🙂
Yeah, right now looks like it goes low to high, just think most folks would want to see high to low
but thanks for another tool that really should be part of the in game UI
Not sure how finely grained the UI has to be, honestly. Some needs arise with time and playing around, nothing I would consider crucial in the game.
naa, its kinda standard with games like this and cooking to have a checkbox to only show things i can make with stuff in inventory
I need to give it some attention, was a very rough first draft. Probably need to revisit this and see how much I can actually track with indirect damage. Was unsure how much I see other people's damage if at all and didn't spend a ton of time on it. I am definitely maintaining different aspects of the tool, so happy for any feedback.
Dont care about other peoples damage really, not looking for that kinda tool, just would like to review my session when its done and see the fights and the breakdowns by fight, now worries if you've stepped away or whatever, great set of tools!
I haven't, just need to give it some time. I got a bit distracted with a bunch of other stuff 🙂
The biggest issue I still dont know how to solve is indirect damage. The line just comes in as '[Combat] {Entity} #{Number}: Suffered indirect dmg: -{damage} {health|armor}' and I don't have any good way to attribute that to anything or even if you were the cause
the pgcombat tracker might be worth a look at if your trying to get a log of your damage output #1349923683459797002 message
It only checks your damage because the combat log only takes what happens with you in particular, except indirect damage which can be pulled from the whole group since indirect is unlabled in the combat logs on who actually does it, or where it comes from
Thanks. Kaeus's shows dps per fight and where its coming from, well, for last 15, 60, or 120 seconds.
but you cant look at your whole session and see what abilities worked best in what sequence
In Maddy's combat tracker you can set markers in a session too to check at a specific time, like just while you are dealing with a boss, or from entering a dungeon to exiting it.
Really appreciate gorgon codex! Just wanted to let you know that xp bonuses dont affect first time crafting though
PGChef.com has been updated to 📌 show meal/snack/insta-snack and meat/fish/vegetarian info for each dish and 📌 you can now select meal types for searching for more specific recipe types.
Working on my Work Orders/Quests Tool still -- now calling it PG Quartermaster for lack of a better name. Shopping lists working well, and the route planner functions but still needs some fine-tuning. Thanks very much to everyone that's been so helpful by sending me item and character JSONs. Without them it would have been very difficult to test for many issues that I've been able to resolve.
We are live.
Surely still bugs, but I've chased out as many of them as I can. The work order and quest planners should be working well. Would greatly appreciate any feedback, suggestions, criticisms or requests.
@sick helm really nice so far, especially given the number of quests we can have
Made a rough update with a few other changes to that page. Lets to load all your previous fights (click 'Parse All Logs', limits it to some degree for now) that are separated by 25s of inactivity so you can view previous stuff. I may need to work on how that integrates with the live tracking but at least this gives you a way to view historical fight data for anything you've logged. Let me know if you have any other suggestions!
Another suggestion: When it shows what i can cook by ingrediantts, give me a flag to not show recipes i dont know
Like i have the ingrediants for Fruit Mushy, but the tool, but i dont know that recipe right now . So most useful would be, What can i cook right now. Make it show whati could cook an dwhere toget the recipe like it already does
Or have it color code somehow the recipes i could cook but dont know recipe
(still a great tool)
You would need to parse the character json for that of course
Hm. Doable. I will have it in my list for sometime after some other features. It would be nice, definitely, thanks for the suggestion!
Definitely simpler than what I had in mind XD
yeah, you already have most if it done, just have to color code fiferently if i dont know recipe
between @solar lantern @fallen yacht and @sick helm life is definitely a lot nicer 🙂
The recipes known check I was able to implement into the quartermaster tool, that info was in the character json. And it's color coded and shows you a list of recipes you don't know, and if a trainer trains them, where they are.
And you could filter it by cooking!
Yeah Sham, thanks for depressing the shit out of me showing me i am missing 339 recipes i could know 😛
like i can afford that 🙂
Haha, you are most welcome! It showed me a couple dozen at first, and I haven't even started down the path to getting them yet lol
im definitely suddenly doing work orders now due to your tool
That was the goal -- to make it easy for players who felt intimidated by the work orders fetch game, or thought it was a pain
Please please let me know if it gives bad suggestions or if there are any features you would like, or if it's too confusing. Excited to get more feedback to polish it up
Pushed a big update adding in crafting logic to the quests planner
I wanted to add in more quest suggestions, but quest completion status for kill quests and the like must be stored server-side, just like total completed quests, so no joy on that.
Hi can anyone help with this tool, where is the char data located? https://kaeus.github.io/KaeusGorgonTools/index.html
assuming you are on windows, right click start, file explorer, paste in: %LocalAppData%Low\Elder Game\Project Gorgon\Reports - or in game Settings -> VIP scroll down and there is a button to open the folder from in game
I got it thank you1
ayeee my idea from earlierrr heck ye
what app keeps track of your crafting recipes....like which you are missing and such?
https://shamorshinf.github.io/PGQuartermaster/
I built that into this -- the missing recipes tab should give you what you don't have.
Let me know if that provides you with the info you're looking for
Hey everyone, I’ve just published the first public version of my Project Gorgon MultiTool.

so whats the recommended DPS tool?
depends on what you are after Mine only does combat stuff #1349923683459797002 message
but there is a few others here who placed their own

Just pushed a new update to PG Quartermaster building on what I released Sunday.
Custom Crafting Plan: New tab where you can build your own crafting to-do list. Add any craftable item with a quantity, and it shows how many you can make based on your current inventory, whether you know the recipe, and which sub-ingredients you're missing. It also checks what you could make if you include vendor purchases. Click the status dot to expand a full ingredient breakdown. Works with the same zone-based route planning as the other tabs.
Work Order Route Planner: Several fixes to stop ordering and return trip detection when confirming vendor purchases mid-route.
Find Contracts: New button on the Work Orders tab that searches your inventory for work order contract papers, shows where each one is stored, and flags duplicates.
Active Work Orders Counter: The Work Orders tab now shows your active work order count vs. your maximum based on Industry level.
As always, if you run into any bugs or have any suggestions, please let me know so I can address them!
https://shamorshinf.github.io/PGQuartermaster/
Currently working on an Inventory Management tab to assist in organization. Can't call it Quartermaster, really, until it has the ability to display, sort, search, and organize everything in your inventory. Will include an inventory consolidation route planner, as well as helpful info about what you've got in storage that can be used for favor.
Coming soon...
pushing the inventory tab because it's working well enough for me to be satisfied with it. Will iterate in time
How do I change the server?
@sick helm you have any plans ot make the crafting tab show how many of what to make to raise you crafting level to hit a goal item?
The wiki page shows the first time and repeat xp for each item
It should automatically show you which server the character you've uploaded is on, is that not happening for you?
You might be running into an issue where you have multiple characters. I'll have to account for that. At present, the tool only pulls the most recent character and inventory jsons.
In the meantime, on the imports tab, you can manually select each json for individual characters. I'll work on adding a pop up to select which character info you'd like to import when the one-click-initialization is clicked, so you can select different characters on different servers.
Exploring this now, as well as a variety of bug fixes and improvements
I'm working on an update here inline with what you're suggesting. It will display the amount of experience you'll get for the quantity of items you've selected, which accounts for experience decreases for lower level recipes and pulls your present xp and xp-to-level and checks it against the xp tables.
I think you're interested in it being able to basically plan out a crafting plan that would enable you to see how many of what items you could craft to hit a defined skill level, based on what items you've got available in your bags, your skill level, and your unlocked recipes. While this is theoretically possible, it would be a lot of work to implement
I have to ask, if pgsurvey is the only approved app, doe sthat mean the others can land you banned?
My understanding is that any tool or app that doesn't break ToS is acceptable, and PG Surveyor has been confirmed to be acceptable.
I've updated the craft plan to include projected experience from crafts. Will further refine this based on feedback. There is a lot that could be done here, potentially up to being able to generate a plan to maximize XP gains, or a "first crafts" planner... Maybe a first crafts planner would be most useful.
The routing logic is improved further on the work order plan. It wasn't including work orders without associated crafting skills for some reason (such as for Oak Wood, or Oregano), but it is now.
Here is the standard that must be met:
App injection NOT ALLOWED
Unfortunately any form of app injection is disallowed. The system does not differentiate between "good" injection vs. a "bad" injection, therefore you could get banned by the system.
I only have 1 character. It just shows egg run timer for Dreva. I assume you're on Dreva lol. Maybe I'll try to restart it
You might be looking at another tool, I am fairly confident mine has no info about egg runs lol
If it injects or reads memory, for any purpose, its not allowed
if it just overlays and doesnt automate play, its allowed
if it just reads the JSON files or chat log (or player.log for now though that might go away), its allowed
What if it reads the player's chat logs in real time and then automatically clicks defined point of the screen based on something it read from the log? Like to automate clicking surveys in sequence in PG surveyor. That seems to be a bit of a gray area, as that can be done without injection or reading memory.
In the case of PG surveyor this would obviously be a feature everyone would like, but if automating clicks isn't allowed, it isn't allowed. But that restriction would fall outside of injection, as I understand it, so the rules must be more than just that.
Some clarification would be nice, because it is definitely nice to be able to use tools like PG Surveyor, but when I've been thinking about things I would like to develop I am hesitant to move forward with anything for fear of it being bannable since it's hard to figure out where the line is drawn. It seems that the true big NO is anything being used to automate processes while entirely AFK. As soon as you go AFK and the tools keep running, you're in the ban zone.
Citan has said a little bit about this here:
#tech-support message
You can read the chat log and make alerts or update things, https://kaeus.github.io/KaeusGorgonTools does that. But you cannot automate game play, thats injection. Some people use AHK at their own risk.
reading chat and having it alert you if it sees XX (like a pudding announcement) thats ok.
That take seems to contradict this, though.
#tech-support message
IIRC the actual simplified rule when accounting for accessibility is one person, one press, one action. The tool cannot be automated and players must be present and accounted for to initiate each step.
You can make a button that does a AHK macro to do a thing. You cannot automatically make a response to the logs to do a thing.
so you COULD let it press the button (keypress/mouseclick) but you do so at your own risk
So generally, think "accessibility issue" rather than "gameplay convenience"
The big risk being I think that if you were to turn on whatever macro, and then you go AFK and get bot flagged, if you don't respond and get banned that's on you
If the macro is complicated enough that you can go AFK, you went too far
Lmao
I'm just going to stick to making tools that use the officially exported jsons and the CDN jsons then lol
Hey, how do I change the server from Dreva?
The bot check is that you're caught repeating gameplay too consistently and they need you to prove you're actually at your keyboard initiating things
You can't really walk away with an autoclicker macro to spam fire clicks running
sorrya bout that haha
I do wish we could get an official response on that Surveyor clicking. Would be a godsend for my shaky hands.
i just like that surveyor lets me do 40 or 50 at once
It is nice yeah but I usually end up miss clicking a single survey and having to reset. It's just no bueno. In lieu of the fancy auto clicker. How about an undo button so you can fix when you miss click
I was playing around with the idea of binding a key to click next survey you need to do to help that type of scenario out where you are spam clicking them back to back or even when collecting. Wonder if that would be acceptible since it does still require you to be active
It's not really that big a issue imo just double click the survey wait like 0.5s for it to load repeat
My bad, ill tell my hands to stabilize themselves I didnt know it ws that easy
But for real, this was more about accessibility in my case and just plain human error. A back button would be great for when you miss click if other options are too sketchy
I think given that it isnt enabling you to afk do any of this, a keybind to assist you clicking the survey sounds acceptible unless we get told otherwise. I'm looking at integrating something as it does meet accessibility and will enable you to use a keyboard rather than a mouse double click to accomplish the same thing
Actually @fallen yacht while youre here, you make the GorgonSurveyTool, can I ask you what you have your GUI scale is set at in PG? I think that is one of the issues people had with the inventory overlay misalignments
1.5 is my current scale
there is config in the json file to adjust those sizes, and the window 'somewhat' tries to auto scale those for a 10 wide inventory, but its possible it isnt as good at other scales. I can get it to line up as I drag down still on like 1.25 scale. Is there a scale you are having issues with?
I think what may help, is put the # of slots you have visible in your inventory. Should help to align the entire window to cover and scale it properly per slot.
I didn't mean my comment to be rude lol, but really can just make a AHK macro and record yourself doing it once and just use that, or something like that id imagine not like auto survey opening is a huge advantage either way
Would only really need to have your inv set to the correct dimensions and record yourself doing it x20 times n loop it per say
AHK isnt allowed, they arent banning for it that ive heard, but its definitely not allowed to play for you.
how long until live AI screen reading bypasses injection entirely, though :\
wrong channel
#tech-support message
AHK is allowed for accessibility reasons.
Hey I linked that comment yesterday! Neat.
It isn't allowed to go so far as to automate gameplay for you.
Our rule of thumb is that macro tools are allowed because they are needed as accessibility tools. There's also the practical element that detecting hardware macros in particular is very difficult without installing a lot of bloaty spyware. Things that are more elaborate than pressing a chord or two are definitely beyond the scope of our accepted range for accessibility.
yes a macro that moved the cursor to a specific spot on the screen and clicked it, for instance would be the sort of thing we'd expect from an accessibility macro
Like i said, its not allowed to play for you, accessibility is one thing, automated play is another
That's the opposite of what you said
AHK is allowed on grounds of accessibility if you do not overautomate your gameplay. They are not banning people for accessibility tools.
Saying AHK isn't allowed, which is what you said, is untrue, and you implied that AHK only exists for gameplay automation rather than accessibility
Is it possible to export your character json automatically every hour or so? Or is it a manual only thing?
Archaegeo:
AHK isnt allowed, they arent banning for it that ive heard, but its definitely not allowed to play for you.
Archaegeo:
Like i said, its not allowed to play for you, accessibility is one thing, automated play is another
SilverOtter:
That's the opposite of what you said
Those two statements don't look like opposite things to me.
1st statement: "arent banning for it" "not allowed to play for you."
2nd statement: "not allowed to play for you" "accessibility is one thing, automated play is another"
I can understand both sides. I don't want automation to ruin this game like it did with AC.
I also understand the desire for accessibility and QoL features and functionality. I think it is right to turn a critical eye toward any automation as these things tend to be a slippery slope.
if I understand correctly no, json files must be manually exported since it's an ingame button click
as you see here, all these three are manual based
Saying "AHK isn't allowed, they aren't banning for it, but" implies that people using AHK is just a moderation oversight and it should not be happening
AHK for accessibility reasons was explicitly allowed by Citan, so this is not true.
AHK is allowed as long as you follow the guidelines for accessibility. Not being banned for using it for accessibility reasons isn't a moderation oversight or a blind eye scenario.
You're in the wrong thread
To be fair what I said as a use case for ahk wouldn't even be automated gameplay more or less ease of access those those having a hard time with the current double click to open survey issue imo would fall under ease of access for them hardly a big gain or what I'd call automated vs having a script like auto path / auto loot mobs etc totally different --- just imo atleast not that my take matters up to the devs to decide at the end of the day either way
Here's another for minotaur vaults: https://yoress.github.io/Project-Gorgon-Minotaur-Lock-Breaker/
It uses a random-ish guess approach, so it can fail to solve it within 12 automatic guesses (manual ones are also allowed). Felt more in line with the spirit of the game that way.
||It may be a little jank because I haven't tried to use/refine it much.||
thats what makes it a slippery slope....because it wouldnt just be people with accessibility using it
@fallen yacht any idea why Flia would be showing right favor level, but cap of 39450/20000? I redidt the player.log and the Reports folder, and started conversation over with her, the 39450 number is right, and the time till reset and favor level, just the cap is off
It might have loaded your VIP file where you were a diff favor level than you are now? When is the last time you exported your character?
i did it right before
let me check again now
@fallen yacht redid the json export and also F5'd the webpage, its right now
just funny is was getting the right amount left, but not the max. Also, she seems to buy a lot more than Document, Scroll, KhyrulekLore but i dont know thats worth fixing
That data is pulled from CDN, so it is dependent on what is updated there (for the buy list) But yeah, I think the CDN doesnt really account for vendors that buys a larger category of items at reduced prices
Is there a thread where I can ask for help on how to use this? 🙂 Scanning the maps doesn't add the markerws on the map overlay
Is there a riding exp overlay app out there for the potential xp boxes on the maps?
not that ive seen, you just have to ride at dangersouce things that make anxiety go up, and then move to a different area
I know how the mechanics works, just checking to see if there was already something that overlays the grid before I did something myself
Best thing I know of RN is useing a riding crop or reins whatever it's called and on the bottom of the UI will be a checkmark if you did the chunk or not, can also drag mobs from XYZ area to new chunk for more XP gain in random areas also
Sucks but alt tabing to check chunk map was how I was doing it just check for checkmark and move on
Ursula curse would probably help with that too
Project Gorgon Multitool v0.1.0 is out.
Main additions in this update:
new Maps feature with map browser, preview, and editor
you can now draw, add text, pan/zoom, undo, and save your own map notes
Egg Run now supports multiple servers: Dreva, Arisetsu, and Strekios
DPS Overlay now has an optional damage taken display
smoother map pan/zoom and several UI fixes
You can grab it from the GitHub Releases page.
@sick helm - Feed back on QM if still working it, with Quests, if i click Plan Route, its catching things where i need to get X items and turn in, but its not catching quests that are ready for turn in like FInding Yasinda's Daughter where i got the evidence of death and just need to go back and talk to Yasinda. Not sure you can do anyting abou that, just FYI. (i.e. the green dot quests)
It only checks quests that have items to turn in, if you have the relevant items in storage somewhere. It won't ever deal with other quests.
Updated https://pgchef.com/ - you can now read in your gourmand report (export under skills&abilities/reports) to only see recipes for food not eaten yet.
@tranquil creek
Anyone know if there's any survey tools that play nice with mineshaft surveys?
or is that too new of content to have any tools for that? 👀
https://nomenclad.github.io/gorgonramsay/
Hey fellow Gorgonites. I've been working on a website/application that tracks your progress with recipes and gourmand, providing guidance on what to acquire and craft. The intent is to simplify decision making and tracking around cooking and all the sister skills. Some features it currently has are:
Gourmand Tracker — Track which foods you've eaten for Gourmand XP. Import your eaten-foods report from the game's Books directory for accurate tracking, or use crafting data as an estimate.
Recipe Browser — Browse all food recipes with filters for known/unknown, craftable now, first craft bonus, skill level, and more.
Cooking Planner — Star recipes you want to cook, then get a step-by-step plan broken into Storage retrieval, Gardening, Foraging, Vendor Purchasing, and Cooking steps with an optimized zone-by-zone route. (work in progress and prone to bugs at the moment)
Quick Cook — Auto-selects the maximum number of known recipes to craft using all available ingredients. Prioritizes first-craft XP bonuses and highest-level recipes. (work in progress and prone to bugs at the moment)
Max Lvl Cook — Picks the single best uneaten meal and snack for maximum Gourmand XP. (work in progress and prone to bugs at the moment)
Multi-Character Support — Load multiple characters (alts) and switch between them. The planner automatically plans Transfer Chest routes to gather ingredients from alt characters' storage. (work in progress and prone to bugs at the moment)
Crafting Calculator — Visual dependency tree for any craftable item showing every sub-component needed.
Ingredient Browser — See all your ingredients across every storage vault with drop sources, recipe usage, and acquisition methods. (drop sources are a work in progress)
NOTE: This is still very much early stage. Lots of data is pulled from the PG CDN files provided by the devs but some is being pulled from the wiki. There will be bugs!. Please feel free to report them to me and I'll fix them as soon as I can. (Report bugs here: https://github.com/nomenclad/gorgonramsay/issues)
To use this in the way it is intended you NEED VIP status to export the inventory, character, and gourmand reports/books and to upload them to the site.
Disclamer: This application is being developed using AI.
I appreciate the disclaimer, looks like a handy tool 🙂 Is it possible to upload the gourmand level of the foods too?
That should pull from the game data on the Gourmand tab.
One of the list sorting headers is "gourmand level" but that appears to be the food level instead. But even if it did think this corn salad was 88 gourmand, the app seems to know I'm only 71. It would be handy to know if I can eat the stuff in my storage or not yet, since I keep a lot random foods in my banks and saddlebag of varying levels
I'm a fatty so I have a ton of food stored away, this app will help a lot with that 😄
also I don't think it's going to give +8k exp if I eat that o.o
Yea the XP values are being removed as we speak.
Just ate teh couscous and it gave 860, so maybe it's got an extra 0
my god there's so much more food I need to eat
I'll remove them entirely for now and revisit them at a future date if there's a way to correctly calculate that value.
Thanks for the catch. This is fixed. Was pulling the wrong level entry from the PG files.
Was helping someone with my Anatomy DPS app that was in python and turned it into an exe.

It's so good that the player.log file will be altered forever.
It kinda assumes you have a default location for your player.log file. But it lets you dig into mobs to see who is dealing the right damage type and when.
This is helpful, I've been using the pics from wiki/marking things on them to remember where certain things are. Are you still updating it?
Yes i add new markers as soon as they are submitting. However im not actively working on new features currently
@upper turtle In PgBuilder, whenever I select Awesome Cloth Pants as the legs armor piece, the app closes.
Actually, if I skip legs and select awesome cloth slippers for feet, it closes the app too
repeatable process: Select any two skills and sets of powers. Select awesome cloth cowl as head slot. Select awesome cloth shirt as chest slot. Select awesome cloth pants as leg slog. App closes
That should have been fixed with my latest version. What does it say at the bottom of the app? (which version).
says update available but when I click it, the app closes and nothing happens
I used the DL from here https://gorgonapps.github.io/
Tried grabbing newest version from github but it gives me a 404
taking it to DMs so we don't clog the thread
I've figured it out, it's the armor suit effect (in your case, cloth). The next version will have a fix, but in the meantime people have to avoid selecting 3 pieces of cloth or leather.
Does anyone know of any apps that show current weather in zones?
Hey!
I'm currently building a storage, recipe, favor, quest, survey and gardening tool. Its mostly aimed at being ran locally, but you can find it here https://goozify.github.io/GorgonHelper/GorgonHelper.html. The Survey tool (which im most proud of) needs a locally run python server, which are in the repo. It has overlay on inventory and map, showing routes and next item to use. It tracks NPC's favors, gold status and gold reset times. It uses VIP exports, chat logs and player.log to achieve this. Feel free to give me suggestions, bug reports etc. You can also fork the project and do what ever you want with it.
If there is anything that is NOT allowed (mostly regarding survey tool), please let me know asap.
Regarding the python server: Please check the code yourself before using it, as this is first time i'm releasing this to public. Always be careful 🙂
So, we just had an announcement go out in game a couple hours ago, reminding people that 3rd party apps can be bannable. But, I don't see a pinned message in here making it clear that only one app is approved for use, and that 3rd party apps are use at your own risk?
From what ive been told the bannable ones are ones that inject things into game processes or automate things where one player action causes multiple in game actions.
but yes, 3rd party apps are very much "at your own risk" as the pgsurvey is the only directly approved one
anything that allows players to bypass the afk timer is also not allowed
Somewhere i saw an app/website that lists each npc and looks at your storage log and lists out all the items each npc will take as favor gifts. is that a thing or did i dream that?
Check the pins on this channel.
Not sure if I'm being dumb here, but I can't get the survey tool to run. I've tried with the local and the hosted version. Leaving the terminal open, trying to start manually, etc. Not sure what I'm messing up here. Also tried starting manually with py main.pyw. No dice.
I ran into the same issue. You likely have a couple of dependencies that need to be installed before the server setup .py can, well, set up.
I built a webapp for helping to solve War Cache Chests: https://mylittleprogrammer.github.io/project-gorgon-vault-solver/
This was a mix of (a) recognising this was Mastermind from my university algorithm's course and (b) wanting to play with Replit/Co-pilot outside of my job.
It doesn't interact with the game at all so I run it on my phone and mark the runes as I find them in the dungeon.
The core functionality is all there and I'll tweak it over the next couple of weeks as I use it for my cache runs.
I hope this helps anyone who was struggling to solve war caches within five guesses.
Added a hoplolgy tracker to my other tools if anyone needs something to track hoplology research. Will watch your player.log to auto mark things as researched, can take in VIP files from reports folder to let you know inventory items to research, and can load the exported list of studied items under the hoplology report in game to mark any you may have already studied. https://kaeus.github.io/KaeusGorgonTools/hoplology-tracker.html
Is there a trick to get PGsurveyor to line up with the map? Serbule Hills always seems so far off and even resetting and not changing the map border and just changing the starting location gives wildly different pins?
You have to be at the start location you choose in PGS in-game for the pins to be accurate.
Can you send a screenshot of what you see?
Also keep in mind you want the map as big as you can while still being able to see and move. If you make the map size too small the scaling will cause problems with accuracy no matter how perfectly the edges of the box are lined up to the map square
That was exactly it, theres requirements.txt file in the Survey/, which you can run with pip install -r requirements.txt. I have now added this to the setup guide in the readme.md. Thanks for letting me know 🙂 Hard to spot those, when you have the dependencies installed already
Use the map slider and you can manual move the map to fit after if need be, once you setup the spots once it will be perfect every time going forward just gotta manual slide map on the bottom of UI, if anything is off can open survey see its off by a little and move map square to make up the diff and it will be fine
That's true, but he said that changing the start location wildly changes the location of the pins. Which means he's not running to that location before clicking surveys.
Yea sounds like he just doesn't have the survey map squares on the edge of map or not standing in the exact starter spots then /// for hills go-to serb portal spot reset the tool no pins set at serb portal then open surveys when all open hit start then move to yellows
Not knowing I had to be where my starting location was fixed everything. I didn't see that one the github page (maybe I'm blind). Thought I just had to line up the green pin with the map and I could run there whenever. Works like a charm after knowing that lol
Can you make this so we can use it on firefox? Don't need to watch the folder in real-time for the json exports, and it's easy enough to click to reopoen to folder and have it check again manually whenever I export new ones.
Done in the newest version (0.1.19), theres a new websocket bridge to handle the logs and exports for firefox (and chrome if you want). Setup guide is in the readme.md. I tested most of the features with it already, but shoot me a message if you notice any bugs. 🙂
PGSurvey doesn't seem to be working correctly with motherloads. keeps crashing when I click play. I am assuming I am missing something
oh, nevermind
https://pgchef.com/ UPDATE - Toggle between showing detailed information & ingredients versus just recipe names, to simplify copy/paste to game chat
Oh that's neat. I've been using the other one and using another window for map screen. but since this works on the phone it'll be much easier.
Seems to almost always work in 3 to 4 guesses, so far so good. Good job. The xx turning to o and P turnj t to D is a little confusing
News about updates Tannin has made to Gorgon Explorer: #builds-discussion message
I'll see about replacing the Unicode characters for the runes with screenshots from the game.
Hey just wanted to pop in an say this is the single most useful player-made app for me. As someone who looked at the hoplology tracking spreadsheet and said that was way too much work to keep track of, this is exactly what I needed. And for anyone who's maybe a little slow on the uptake like me, go to your VIP settings and enable saving books to export the hoplology report 😛
Once you figure out what's what it isn't bad. But, so far, it works very very well. Good Job
https://gorgonexplorer.com/, doing some advertising for the old classic. The "WWW" got removed during migration.
the build planner save function doesn't appear to be working atm
You need an account now to save builds btw, sorry about that
Ah, Ok. Np
Has anyone made a tool that can help with unique death exp? Figuring out what is still new is proving difficult.
@dire oak i've sent you a dm with some more feedback, i hope its not too much 😓
I kind of have one. It compares it vs the wiki. I made a lore version but it blew up with statehelm 😛 let me get the link. its created via AHK
https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/qnowzzfrviqlcqqy4hf6o/PGDeath.exe?rlkey=ir1a6g44toqshglnzcph6uobh&dl=1 if you trust my exe, https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/48rb2lckphw8gujse327h/PGDeath.ahk?rlkey=2pra63v22njs3ymlxj3mhwnh2&dl=1 if you dont trust my dropbox link. (for future searches, Death exp tool, checks death report vs the wiki)
Thanks for that! This is perfect.
I would be super super interested in your lore tracker even if it excludes statehelm 🙂
I don't see a way in the game to export the Gourmand report.
Saving it is a VIP feature - it is the same as books in game that you can read only normally, but save as VIP.
I do not have a good work around for that, currently.
Other than just typing a text file with basic foods - I could make a simple file for a gourmand range and let people edit it, maybe.
If you have vip, the gourmand report will have a 'save' button
the issue is, if the wiki isnt named EXACTLY like it is in the file, it doesnt see it. The graffiti stuff kind of blew things up a bit.

i used the log file to add the items in my inventory to the "to study" list...i sold some of the items and now longer have them....and cannot remove them from the "to study" list
ty for the response. i figured it out...i didnt have the button checked
Re-export your storage and load the new file
ty...got after the 3rd try
any idea why the motherloades always end up off for me? (they are at my location, not the red dot). the 2nd image was after fixing the map borders, or so i thought
Did you reset the survey data after fixing the map? Looks like it's just the offset being off. Does it get worse near the edges?
Last time I did a batch of motherloads it was off by maybe 30-40m at the edges of the map because I hadn't scaled it quite close enough
ye i reset always. i was able to do 6 lodes this time but each was slightly off. in different directions
maybe im not precise enough when clicking my location
That is going to be the reason why. Also it's a bit more accurate the further away you can do each of the three points from to help filter out scale issues that will cascade for further points
Hard to get it perfectly accurate but should help improve it
kk i'll try making a bigger triangle
This made a BIG difference for me. For Kur, I'd use the town, elt portal, then the hut with skinner and all of them became pretty spot on
for anyone having issues with GorgonExplorer after recent releases please try pressing Ctrl+Shift+R while on the site to clear your browser cache. A lot changed under the hood since first release and stale cached files can cause weird behavior. thanks!
In case anyone was missing something.. PGChef now also includes recipes from SushiPreparation and IceConjuration to check your gourmand and show relevant ingredients.
I just released https://github.com/Riftr/PGMon looking for testers
What it does?
Ah xp monitoring?
I will pass on that
are there any apps that assist with leveling up crafting skills by giving a bill of materials needed to craft various items for a target level?
any pg surveyor pros on? my pg surveyor keeps starting at the bottom right of my screen and i cant move it. i have to adjust my computers display setting to like 800x900 just to move the darn thing
Do you have multiple monitors @hazy sage ?
or try this: #1349923683459797002 message
I don't. Playing on a laptop. I did originally screw up by moving the green box for the map over to the bottom right of my screen and then the next time I loaded surveyor the bottom right adjustable box was gone.
My fix ATM is to exit pg surveyor change my display to 800x600, keep changes, load pg surveyor and then change display back to 1920x1080 and keep changes. I may just remove and reinstall the app to see if it'll just change the auto open locations.
For those who didnt know, the timers at K's site continue to countdown even if you close the window. https://kaeus.github.io/KaeusGorgonTools/timers.html
What app are you using?
This one doesn't break any rules, perform injection, automate things, ect ect?
It doesn't. You can look at the source code if you're worried. I actually just run it from the source since I wanted to add a global hotkey for toggling the UI.
I mean, most of us dont' know how to program/code so. Then again, relying on random people online is just as sketch at me looking at the code and saying it's fine, lol
this happens to me a lot on just normal surveys
I will ask Claude why
might as well ask a magic 8-ball lol
Calibration accuracy depends entirely on two things: how precisely you place your own position on the map, and where you click to set the first survey dot.
The map borders are irrelevant, what the tracker needs is a good scale (pixels per metre). To calculate that, it needs a dot that is offset from your position in both X and Y, not just one axis. A dot directly north or directly east gives a weaker scale estimate; one that is diagonally offset (e.g. northeast) gives a much more reliable one.
Small errors in the scale compound over distance, a 1% error that's barely visible for a nearby survey becomes obviously wrong for one 200m away. For this reason, manually clicking through until you confirm a dot that is further from your position before letting the tracker auto-place will significantly improve placement accuracy for the rest of the session.
cant figure out how to resize the inventory or map window
Bottom right is draggable to resize
it's all drag and drop the same as windows
yeah i think finding a good triangle of 3 positions that works and setting map pins there will do the trick. it's just gonna be a pain until you do find it, with many lodes being a bit off
I was just trying to use GorgonSurveyTracker for the first time - and I don't see 'enable chat logs' under VIP. I remember seeing it there in the past. Was that moved/removed or am I blind?
moved in the latest patch to the GUI section I think
Aha!
I didn't scroll down far enough when I was looking for it.
Good callout, I need to update the readme now that it has moved
You'll be ahead of devs, as even in-game on the VIP tab it still says 'be sure to check the chat log option above'
Thank you for the garden planner!
@acoustic storm
I tried clicking and dragging all over that thing. Probably operator error, I'll try again tonight. Ty for clarification
Sup?
You were asking about apps last night, were you not?
Which one, survey tracker?
I ended up finding one called Gorgons vault
Its a website
is there a working player stall price comparison tool here somewhere
So has someone gotten the PgCompletionist app to actually work? No idea what I am doing wrong, Is there a special character dump that isnt one of the VIP options that i need to do or what. Or maybe there is a version that works out there.
I haven't tried it since launch but historically it has worked fine for me with the character export
Hrm, Ive never gotten the program to load the json. Ill try to load it and the drop down just has nothing
Just confirmed on a fresh install of the app that it is indeed broken
Pinging in @upper turtle because I noticed the v447 is an outdated version, and/or it might have something to do with the new file names that include a server.
Oh..... nevermind. It just hasn't been removed from the Git homepage... @pure tusk
Hrm, maybe someone will release something similar eventually
This is kind of similar with a few extra features: #1349923683459797002 message
This also has a character stat tracking feature: #1349923683459797002 message
It's working for me on the last version so I guess I need to put it online.
Once I have included this last patch anyway.
Thank you
Also, I kind of planed to have the search tool and PgBuilder returning online with steroids, but SH is keeping me busy. 😆
best survey app
is the map window supposed to encompass the whole map window in game, or be fitted to only the actualy terrain's edge around the* map? I find myself having to calibrate 60%+ of the dots in a 120 survey session
Are the dots falling completely outside the surveys? I usually run 125 surveys, and once I get it dialed in on a decently far point the rest fall inside or right on the edge the whole time
some of them, i run elt green and i'll calibrate the first 10 because theyll be a little off, itll work fine for like 7, then itll suddenly be way off and ill have to calibrate another 10 and so on
Hmm, I have run most of mine in Elt as well without too much issue.
for the initial position, I'll try starting at a teleport spot such as serb portal or casino exit, and click the center of those for initial calibration
my map also may just be too small for extreme accuracy, i dont like running it huge cuz it feels weird to me when i cant see lol. i like your tool, the U/I is clean, and at least i am able to adjust the dots manually if it's off.
I'll figure it out eventually
Yeah, the smaller it is, the easier it is for small inaccuracies to cause large errors too
should only have to calibrate once but yeah make the map box just hug the edge of terrain. accuracy has to do with how well you calibrate your position with the first survey dot. i dont use a huge map but decently sized seems to work reliably
Changed it to just terrain and it did work a bit better today. Honestly I don't mind. This app is way better (imo) than PG surveyor because I'd rather have to manually position some dots than have inaccuracies I can't do anything about. It's way more annoying having to adjust my in game position once I'm already moving than just manually placing the dot
Which is what was happening with the OG app. That app is great too, and each have their nuances, I prefer this more updated one for the mentioned reasons tho
oh its 100x better, just the inventory management alone. dont forget you can press numpad 0 to auto click the survey when you get to the right spot
Most of these things should be in the game by default tbh...
It is a social sandbox mmo. It isnt supposed to have everything QOL to the point of being easy.
I agree to an extent, however it also shouldn't be extremely inconvenient chore.
With the size of the dev team and stuff that would take priority over this kinda stuff I can see why relying on the community for some QoL third party apps is the better choice
The only one I think should be in game is brewing combinations since it differs per character
does the kaeus gorgon survey tracker work for anyone? it was working few days ago but not all the dots land outside of the survey map window of this app, I have no clue what can be the issue
I have to place all the dots by hand, I don't understand why do they land outside of the screen
ok it looks like it works now, I turned flip dirs to on
I need to figure out if anywhere else but kur has the inversion. I may be able to auto set that when you change zones
I have created a small application that allows VIP players to help contribute to a community fight log for the Laeth server specifically but can be altered for any PG server. This app is setup to automatically track who the opponents are and who wins each fight match for the Red Wing Casino Kuzavek Fight Betting and then appends this data to a shared community dashboard https://shorturl.at/508lA.
It's just a simple python script that reads the games VIP chat logs and uploads the outcomes to the data endpoint. https://github.com/UncommonDLL/PGCasinoWatcher-Public
The whole point of this is to enrich the already in progress community Hot Tips collection on https://www.laeth.bet by utilizing all the tips submission data and applying advanced statistics, formulae and algorithms/edges to provide the user a better betting experience by suggesting the matchup and best fighter from the historic and current daily performance.
The script and code used is open source on GitHub linked here and can be used by anyone, If anyone else is interested in getting this to work on another Project Gorgon server just DM me.
Watches chat log of Project Gorgon VIP Chat log output for fighter matchup and results on https://shorturl.at/508lA - UncommonDLL/PGCasinoWatcher-Public
can you also change the name of your program? the name is so generic that it's impossible to find it, maybe add your name to it? try to find it on google for example, terrible SEO
i can't get the calibration to work. it says it does, but all the pings are off and I have to remark each survey.
Had no issues with this maybe send a screenshot of what your setup looks like? Maybe map too small or overlay not sized over it correctly
lol
yes because that's exactly what an average user would type into google, a sentence without spaces, you got me
not sure if changing the name would solve the issue but adding more keywords in the github page might help make it more searchable
searching kaeus gorgon survey tracker works fine as well
it could help.
sec
I'm setting up something recently to fix this somewhat automatically, but in Kur you have to turn on 'Flip Dirs' in the bottom of the config window. The coordinates there are inverted because the zone is upside down!
Also, any reason you have your inventory not covering the surveys? If oyu lock the inventory once you have it in place, you should be able to still interact with the survey items.
yep that fixed it
i didn't know about the locking, must have missed it in the notes, lol
all much better. thanks. I'll play with it for a while 🙂
I wondered why kur is the only zone I ever have problems with lmao
so odd
Hi, it's me! The guy behind drevaeggs.com - I have a new app called Glogger!
If you're on the Dreva server you might have seen it in discord, or seen me talk about it in chat. Basically, Glogger uses a variety of inputs like the game's public CDN data, Player.log files, chat logs, and exported character/inventory JSONs. It uses all this to try to build as comprehensive view of the state of the game and your character as it can, and then use that information in a bunch of hopefully helpful ways. Aside from asking github about version updates and downloading the new CDN data when provided, Glogger runs completely locally so it is (again, hopefully) snappy and not reliant on some other host.
What can glogger do? Well strawman, I'm glad you asked! Glogger can:
Tell you game time. Tell you server time. Tell you moon phase. Tell you casino portal. Tell you DC statue. Monitor important resources in your inventory (aquas, amethysts, etc), watch interesting player stats, watch for specific words/people/items mentioned in chat, tell you who has milked you the most, tell you what mushrooms to farm, tell you how vendors still have to give you, tell you where your items are stored, tell you what NPCs like, tell you all their quests, tell you the TP codes, tell you how you died, tell you how long you've sat watching progress bars fill up for crafting, track your statehelm gifting, give you detailed crafting stats, create and manage crafting projects and tell you where to go pick up all the ingredients, help you plan your crafting leveling, help you build a gourmand-satisfying meal for a friend, help you track your brewing, know which items you like and don't like to use in dynamic ingredients, be a fully functional build planner, show you where you have storage you could unlock, track your stall sales, tell you what has sold out recently, tell you Lexxi is a shop log menace who buys 198 items one at a time, track your farming sessions, let you set your own market prices for items and share them with friends, track surveying and build analytic reports that compare zones and survey types, compare CDN data between latest game version and current, tell you what quests NPCs give, tell you where recipes come from, fully search your chat history, see tells in a more reasonable and useful manner, search everything.
Most of that list even works like... most of the time! It took a long time to get here and the help of several people. Please click the '?' and check out the About page and go visit the stalls of all those people - they've been a huge help.
There is more info in the readme on the github page, and more screenshots. I'm certainly not done, but it was long past time to put it in the hands of others. I hope you enjoy. https://github.com/danielout/glogger-release/
Just installed this, hooooly moly this is a game changer. I actually kinda like the UI even though I know you mentioned it needs work.
This thing is packed of super useful features, 10/10
Man this looks really cool and will check this out! No plan for a hosted version I take it?
(hate installing exe stuff lol)
First feedback 🙂
On Character->Skills, along with total skills, show total levels, always been curious about that 🙂
Also, and maybe PG flags them this way, but Interpretive Dance, Percussion Instruments, Stringed and Wind instrument skills arent combat skills, nor is angling. But since they have to be on hotbar, PG might have them flagged that way.
And how do i know if it is reading my manual export JSONs, i know its got my player log
But the NPCs tab doesnt show current vendor gold remaining or reset time. I know that goes into player.log if you visit the NPC, but im pretty sure (because Kaeus's does it) that its experted with character json export.
oh wait, bottom of dashboard, Total Skill Levels 3,289, that seems high for 118 skills but maybe not
I’ll pester Kaeus about this - he has been a glogger tester for a few weeks now so he can tell me if im doing something stupid. If there is a better way than requiring an interact that would be awesome!
Should also show up in the character -> stats page as well. But yeah this could easily be added to skills.
Nope, one of the benefits with a local install is no servers to go down/get overloaded/pay for/etc - also with the way it is built it would take a pretty massive overhaul to provide a hosted version. I'm not even sure some of what it does would be possible - possibly, but I'm a game designer by trade not a software engineer so I have no idea how it would even work 😄
Yup, they're flagged that way because they use the action bar i assume. One of my goals is minimal hardcoding - we try and build everything based on the CDN data so the app can auto-adjust to things as new content comes out. Downside of this is some stuff like this where technically they are combat skills under the hood but in practicality they aren't and glogger has no idea 😄 I will try and take a look at it though and see what can be done!
My tool does the same thing, it reads player.log to get that value. Unfortunately we don't have council/reset value in the export
The CDN does flag these as Combat: true, I believe because they let you put skills on your combat bar so they get flagged here as combat abilities.
Ahh, i thought when i did export of character.json your tool grabbed the current vendor values from there, as opposed to needing to visit each vendor for it to show in the player.log
if you are referring to player stalls to my knowledge this info has been removed from logs
may still work if using individual stall sales data but for listings i dont think so
Anyone getting an "Could not create default EGL display" when running the .appimage version of this
interesting. platform-specific bugs are probably the thing i was most worried about.. seem that worry was justified. like many things, tauri supposedly "just works" regardless of built platform but... that's never quite as true as i'd like. i likely won't have time to really dig in to this until next week, as i'm going to be about of town this weekend. but if you have any info you can provide it would be super helpful if you could drop it in a github issue. https://github.com/danielout/glogger-release/issues
I see releases, but no code/ branches, also discussions are not open. are you open to and looking for contributors?
curious as to what made you go with tauri as opposed to electron on such a project?
This is a somewhat common issue with tauri appimages. One possible workaround can be found here https://github.com/gitbutlerapp/gitbutler/issues/5282#issuecomment-3598600651 (on a system with non standard paths like nixos it may be easier to delete all wayland libs inside the appimage)
Relevant upstream issue: https://github.com/tauri-apps/tauri/pull/12491
keeping it a bit close to the chest at the moment - have a couple friends throwing stuff in but this is mostly a me project to learn and play with and not have to worry about playing nice with other people's code. also as a non-software engineer, code shame is real. 😄 i hadn't ever used github discussions so never crossed my mind, but i turned them on!
mostly i picked tauri because i've never used it before, and it seemed like a good way to dip my toes in to rust since i could jump to vue/ts for a lot where i am more comfortable when needed but still learn a little. the idea of less bloat than electron was also appealing 😄
also somewhat glad to hear the appimage issue isn't just a me issue.
best of luck. if you decide to abandon the project at some point you should pass it on/allow forking
absolutely!
hm glogger seems to auto mark how many times you gifted to a stathelem npc but not how many items. I gifted 1 food an 4 other foods that were stacked together. it marked it as 2/5
i wonder if this is a log limitation or bug
You have your player.log/chat log available you could send over?
uh, i restarted game multiple times since then
but this should be easy to reproduce, i just gifted jim 1 food, then i gifted him 4 foods in a single stack
k, np, might be able to debug it just gifting any npc multiple items
btw is it closed sourced or i just cant find the source?
closed for now as #1349923683459797002 message
Might be a limitation due to that. I believe its tracking the favor change in player.log, but I dont see any way to get quantity of gifts. Might investigate if there is something we can capture to track the amount of gifts available, but even the item removal looks to just remove the whole stack sometimes vs individual items 1 at a time to even detect it that way.
Yeah I’ve seen this too - I need to make a note of it on that screen. I don’t know that there is a good way to track it via the logs.
-# Maybe the devs will expose it for us
@paper jackal
Hey, I have some minor feedback/suggestions for Glogger. If you want it sent somewhere else specifically now/in the future let me know.
It would be amazing if I could edit the values the vendors have when they are stuck on "unknown" with no councils left in game to update
Also a sort option to group them by zone similar to how the vendors wiki page is laid out. And/or have their zone listed on their info box under NPCs.
Maybe a bit harder ask;
I used a simple spreadsheet to keep up with my weekly vendor council limits with sum formulas to show total values for specific things (i.e. 320k councils worth of jewelry/gems left this week to cash out), but manually updating vendors in a spreadsheet eventually gets exhausting.
Having one of the dashboard windows dedicated to total councils, weapons, armor, jewelry, gems, skins, skulls, potions would be a huge boon for me. Idk how hard that would be to implement. In addition optionally being able to add a vendor overview per character and as an aggregate would be next level.
Some of the vendor data is a bit ambiguous or weirdly overlapping in the data they have tagged as to what they buy. Not sure if the CDN data would line up, but would be interesting to see what vendors you have grouped for each.
As for updating manually, the program SHOULD be updating them even if they have 0 as long as you speak to them. It definitely creates a period when you first start glogging where you wont have data, but that should go away pretty quickly as you interact with vendors normally.
@paper jackal Hey, been using glogger in the background the past few days. It works great! I'm a big fan of the dynamic dashboard display. And the crafting section is outstanding - best recipe list I've seen so far. And the stall tracker is the first I've seen anyone post about; absolutely vital to me with rent prices nowadays!
Couple suggestions/feature requests if you're taking them:
- Please consider making the words of power frame/categories collapsible. It currently extends over half my dashboard, which then extends whatever is next to it to match its length 😛
- Could you add a timer somewhere? Maybe turn milking timers into just timers - or have something in the mushroom farming widget to automatically start a timer? Though you'd need to account for box types for an auto-timer, and I'd still need to go outside the app to a regular timer for cheese/brew in that case.
Can't thank you enough for releasing this tool, it's real clean and has replaced a fair few open tabs for me.
How much to each of you to integrate Kaeus' Hoplology tracker into glogger by the way? 😛 Asking for a friend
Timers and fixing the height on dashboard widgets coming in the next update! They were always supposed to just scroll internally within the widget but uh... clearly bugs. 😄
Hoplology tracker is certainly possible. I need to do some captures on it to make sure i've got the right loglines to watch for, but should be feasible!
Hopology tracker would be dope!!
I had a question, if you forgot to launch glogger a few of the times you played, would you have to do anything to update it or will it automatically track progress?
Isn’t there a report already for it ?
It will try to pick up anything it can that it missed, but PG only keeps the current and previous log files so it can only do so much.
Gotcha, just wasn't sure as I havent been diligent in launching glogger
Does glogger have a way to make a session that tracks enemies killed and items received? Is that possible? Would be nice to do an activity for an hour and see the kph / drops
I think that could be something taken from logs, but not sure if it already exists or would be feasible to add
Love glogger tho from my few days of using it to empty vendors!
Economy -> Farming does that... kinda. I could add some more tracking there probably though. I haven't done a lot of work around specifically tracking enemy kills so i'll have to take a poke at it. Hoping to get the next update out by friday.
Thanks zenith, I’ll play around with that tonight and see what it’s like
Just thinking it would be nice to try and add rough drop rates onto the wiki if people wanted that
There is (was?) a tool for that already actually! Made by @atomic sandal - I haven't used it myself, don't know how well it works, if it follows the wiki's formatting conventions, if it's maintained etc. #1349923683459797002 message
@paper jackal Zenith you wanna PM me, Rather not say in public space but i cant DM so just food for thought ~
No problem, I'll add you as a friend and message you!
@valid sparrow for pgemissary moon phase reference, your day counts are incorrect. the four "quarter" phases (new moon, first quarter, full moon, last quarter) are exactly three days. the other phases (waning/waxing gibbous/cresent) are at least three and no more than six days (they fill the gaps between the quarter phases)
Ah shoot, thank you ! I'll dig into that here in the next day or so and correct it. was moving fast on the moon phase stuff and I definitely forgot to confirm against in game for every cycle, forgot to put it on my follow-up list
this spreadsheet is generated directly from the server's moon phase code that was shared some while (many years) back https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQB_QsCN9Jgju3XFnkQBQ6Lz6mL2Lyn1pNqUTuEF3K-Nq_iIUx6Ks3jjJK_fW9F_Tr-w0xE7ZFCPhwq/pubhtml
niph's pgmoon app is generated from the same data and has it in a parseable form
I had actually built a parser to pull from that git repository to make sure I had the seed data.. apparently I missed something somewhere
i wrote a thing for parsing it too lemme dig it up
Pastebin.com is the number one paste tool since 2002. Pastebin is a website where you can store text online for a set period of time.
python 3.9+ because that's when zoneinfo was added
could instead build a tzinfo object (needs to account for DST is the thing, ofc you can parse it out as UTC instead since that's what lunations.cs is actually using, i only needed to adjust it because this was getting dumped into a Google Sheet)
Hey all whats the current websites that take advantage of VIP. Sorry just wanted to stay current, came back after a bit
I feel like glogger is the best all-in-one app. Depends on what you’re looking for tho. Pgemissary is nice, kaeus survey tool
I basically use glogger and the survey tool
Hmm, Any web app, I think all the desktop apps are windows I assume?
gorgonramsey is nice for inventory tracking and cooking/gourmand stuff
its web based I believe, dunno if something wonky happens when visiting on a linux/mac web browser but it should work
ahh thank you!!
glogger is multi-platform!
i make no promises of how well it works on mac or linux since i can't test those, but it does get built for them 😄
Speaking of Glogger, it has moved to a public repo now so you can judge me for all the terrible, horrible code nightmares!
https://github.com/danielout/glogger
If you already have it installed, the updater should take care of you automagically but all new releases will be there. Also 0.8.x is out (we're on 0.8.5 right now but bug fixing continues to occur...) with timers, trip planner, hoplology tracker, stall/pigeon message log, and some early work on kill tracking and attributing loot to specific creatures. also changed the layout of the item details in the Data Browser - curious if people like it better now.
Where can I find my crit chance? It oesn't seem to be in the combat stats widget.
can try Character -> Stats and then in the player attributes panel search for crit. but all i get is this so unsure if it gets reported in the logs or JSONs...
I've been trying to determine if the +Crit wine actually improves my crit chance because it doesn't show in the buffs window
the phrenology crit bonuses don't show up anywhere either.
at least that i've been able to find
Ok - thanks for the quick response
np 🙂
Anyone else on linux still getting the the EGL problem when using the appimage version of Glogger
part of me wonders if i should just stop building the appimagine until the upstream issue is fixed... does it work for anyone
Im hoping it just me being an idiot and missing something
i'd make a linux joke here but i feel bad
broadly, Glogger now (0.8.6) tries its hardest to properly attribute loot to the monster it came from. After squashing multiple bugs this morning, i think it is reasonably reliable now? It does it all the time, but you can also start a farming session and see exactly what you're getting. You can also now go to the Data Browser -> Enemies and click an enemy and it will tell you what you've seen drop from that enemy. Glogger has to see the kill/drop to build its loot database, but it should accumulate over time.
Hopefully this is what you were looking for! Let me know!
Turns out building from source works 🤷♂️
Miracles
Awesome thanks!
Any plans to add a dps tracker? It’s about the only thing I’m still looking for, so I can compare my various builds. Great job on the app.
glad you like it! no DPS tracker plans currently. there are a number of reasons why i don't really want it, but not the least of which is just i already have too many things on the to-do list for glogger already 🙂 (there is also some issues with damage attribution in the logs; i'm not even sure you could get accurate numbers but i haven't really looked at it too thoroughly)
Hey, great app! So I just started using this today and came across that dreaded EGL error. It appears the issue will mainly affect wayland users on rolling release distros. It looks like the libwayland-client.so that's packaged is incompatible with newer versions of the wayland protocol. However, this is a non-issue and I've seen it on quite a few appimages. All you need to do is preload the system version. Using this command will launch it with no issues.
cd /whatever/folder/the/appimage/is/in
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libwayland-client.so ./glogger-0.8.6-linux.appimage```
If users want to make a menu entry or a .desktop file they can append the preload as an env variable. So you'd use this for the exex command:
env LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libwayland-client.so /home/whatever/appimages/glogger.x.x.x-linux.appimage
Hope that helps folks out.
hero!
Just wanted to say shoutout for Glogger again, super handy tool especially when I'm not barely awake and remember to launch it 😂
did something break with glogger? it doesnt seem to know i gifted stathelem npcs anymore
Hrm I’ll take a look. “Did something break?” Is probably yes with me 🙂
btw, i dont want to test this.. hopefully doing brewing scan doesnt pick up wines crafted by others
it shouldn't! it checks the "Crafted By"
nice!
i'm only mostly dumb, not totally dumb 😄
Question, for the WOP section, it will record any wops you get, will it save those for the next time you launch the game/app or only have them there during the session you record them?
it saves between sessions.
Does a personal "DPS tracker" kind of application exist? I'm not interested in DPS so much but I would like to see a breakdown of how much damage I end up doing with various abilities, if that makes sense.
This one here for example: #1349923683459797002 message
Does it works for party also or just mine
I don't have a character file in that folder, for the gift planner. is there something I need to export it? Also, I already have chat logs on, I use other apps.
You need VIP to export character file and items
Gorgonzola is designed to be only browser and not read files from your file system. It's also mostly client side java script. Exceptions are weather tracking, almanac, and Blood Target for Vampires.
I am a dork, I should have looked closer
The calculations on the gifts aren't perfect. I don't understand the math fully
They are close though
It'll help plan it out 🙂 APpreciate it.
I wrote those for me, then decided it'd be useful to others
Messing around with Gorgonzola I know how to export th char json but how do you generate the skill report for dying and gourmond?
have to enable the "books" feature in game options then go to skill report for that skill and then save it from the popup
Ahhh ok thanks ms
for anyone else looking for it
Thank you for this! I was going to try to go this when I got back
Let me know what you think. The trainer stuff is still WIP trying to parse things from cdn to get it right
It feels pretty intuitive even for a person like me who can hardly use a cellphone. Makes it easy to find data. Super cool. Keeping it up on the second monitor for sure.
That's how I developed it. I work in QA and usability and convenience is my favorite thing
Is there a storage app that lets me search/sort by item type i.e. corpse trophy?
Easy enough for me to do in gorgonzola, don't know if there are others that do it
@oak void let me know if this works:https://gorgonzola.spellboundtavern.com/storage.html
Also training planner is in beta: https://gorgonzola.spellboundtavern.com/training_planner.html it should let you know skills you are missing and where to get them, also, how much they cost + totals
I may have missed it but is there a hopology functionality like there is for gourmand and dying? The lack of support on in game ui drives me batty
Tips on using gorgon survey tracker for motherload?
i've only used pgsurveyor, but the motherlode directions are in the readme for that. tl; dr: click em once like normal, then move to a different startpoint (change the UI to that startpoint) and click em a second time. then do that at a third startpoint. then run them like normal surveys
i figured it out eventually. ya, it's basically the same.
I forgot to invert in Kur
lol
Amazing if you crank it out I’ll test it got 3 toons with varying levels of Hop
So I've been working through it, and I'm not sure how to make it work. I've never done Hop, but it looks like it is just XP for every peice of gear, can you send me what the report looks like?
Yea should be home in 10 minutes and I’ll shoot you one.
Thanks!
Ohnoes
There is no report option
Sorry cooking literal screenshot instead of screenshot
Ok, I got frustrated by not being able to see all "Caravan" Quests, so new quest utility on gorgonzola:
https://gorgonzola.spellboundtavern.com/quests.html
https://gorgonzola.spellboundtavern.com/hoplology.html
This took me a bit, because a "Checkbox" solution isn't really useful with the sheer volume of items in game, so instead this helps you find un researched items in your inventory.
So I've been using your survey app for the last few weeks, have done probably 2k-3k~ surveys with it so far, however I'm now encountering a really weird issue.
The inventory overlay isn't aligning properly, no matter how I try resizing it, changing the # of columns, nothing.
Not sure if you had any insight on how I could remedy this as overall I really like the app.
Anyone else reading npcs.json and having trouble understanding store services? Are the keywords there what they will buy at full price? eg: Flia will buy up to 2500 for most things at despised, but will go up to 5k for Documents/Lore/KhyrulekLore?
Seriously Beta, but I needed filters:
https://gorgonzola.spellboundtavern.com/augments.html
https://gorgonzola.spellboundtavern.com/equipment.html
https://gorgonzola.spellboundtavern.com/crafting.html
Not sure, I haven't made any changes to that rendering recently. Resizing it should auto scale it and # of columns only matters if your inventory is not 10 wide
Ah thanks. Ill try fiddling with it some more :)
Reset button in main window once you are finished and want to clear out the previous survey data
i have done that..
but been staying there
and also is there a way to resize the pings?
@fallen yacht oh i was only resetting the motherlode, had to swiotch to normal survey and hit reset as well , doh!
no, it moved to the GUI section
hi yall I can anyone tell me if there is some sort of combat performance analyzer? looking to test varoius effects on actual combat scenarios and curious if theres a tool that takes the data and parses it in a way I can digest
like a combat tracker? #1349923683459797002 message
Yes! exactly what I wanted 😄
ty!!!
I tried uninstalling and swapping to the previous version, no issues at all so not sure what I goofed up
Fixed now though!
Significant rework since last time I posted this: https://gorgonzola.spellboundtavern.com/changelog.html
For the Gorgon Survey Tracker, is there anything I need to tweak so Kur surveys aren't messed up (not showing anywhere where they should be)? I don't have issues in other zones.
No, just regular gem surveys, the tool doesn't seem to work in Kur for me. I don't have issues elsewhere but in that zone, I do the usual instructions (mark my position, mark the first survey location) and then the next surveyed maps are completely off the map or in the wrong side of the map entirely.
Oooh i see a little "flip dirs: OFF" button. Do I need to flip direction in that zone?
Not a user of that app but can't hurt to try
FWIW, that is what was needed.
Hey guys, about goggler, is there a way to import a "database" from other player ?
Anyone know with the gorgon survey tool kaeus made if you can change it to click through the inventory overlay? I am offsetting it currently when my overlay is showing, inventory is closed and I toggle it between surveys to know which one to click on
Or does everyone just use the hotkey to go to the next one
I think that if you set the inventory to "locked" then you can click through it.
Cool, thank you!
When it comes to doing the motherlodes in kur is there a best place to triangulate from ?
Made a passive gardening tracker for PG — just released beta 1!
OpenCambium reads your chat log in the background and tracks harvests, XP, and bonuses in real time. Has a transparent in-game overlay and a full crop reference browser.
Free, open source, no VIP sub required. Works for everyone!
One setup step: enable chat logging in-game first. Go to Settings → GUI → Chat Logs → Save Chat Logs: Enabled and OpenCambium will find the log file automatically from there.
Windows 10/11 + .NET 8 Desktop Runtime (free) required.
https://github.com/Subnetzombie/OpenCambium/releases/tag/v1.0.0-beta
Oooh desktop apps
Windows 10/11 + .NET 8 Desktop Runtime (free) required.
I think .NET 6 added a way to have standalone programs, does .NET 8 still support that?
I use velopack and a standalone publish
Yes, I tried to make the package self contained but GitHub wouldn't allow files greater than 25MB, so I removed it.
Hello, is there an app or a website to look at what mob drop what etc ?
the closest we have is the fanmade wiki but we have to manually type in what enemies drop what, so usually people just complain it doesn't have what they want https://wiki.projectgorgon.com/wiki/Main_Page
earlier in this chat someone made a program to automatically track what enemies drop while you play, but i'm not tech savvy enough for it
