Out of curiosity, I decided to check how the rng behind getting ending encounters in IS3 actually looks lik. To do this, I collected data from 100 runs using the following rules:

• Runs were done on d18 with a People-Oriented Squad.
• I always took the path with the highest number of encounters.
• After obtaining both endings, I ended the run.
• I only rolled the dice at the Knight if I already had ed4.

Here are some of the results (more data in the spreadsheet):

• I successfully obtained both ed2 + ed4 in 70% of runs.
• I missed ed4 in 9% of runs.
• I missed ed2 in 23% of runs (this guy is a fraud).
• In 2% of runs, I got neither ending.
• The longest streak without getting both endings was 3 runs.

I also created a public copy of the spreadsheet for collecting more data (the first 100 entries are mine). If anyone is interested, I would appreciate help gathering a larger sample size. Just make sure to follow the data entry rules described in the sheet.
