tldr: It allows you to get a lot of collectibles and fish for the good ones (especially with the rare collectibles shop upgrade you can get some strong ones)

Although to get a value from it you would need ingots and when you play with Lamp you won't be able to get that many of them (so in this case you will always really heavily on withdrawing them - that is why it is often memed that this squad can east 999 saved Ingots in one run).

Since Lamp isn't that great there it is much better to play it with Talons/Fatedless (without Fated Encounter). Talons will allow you to get more ingots and also take out from the collectibles pool more stuff (thanks to drops from EMs). Another advantage of not playing Lamp is the ability to ignore all Hand restrictions which is a nice option when shops gives you a lot of different vouchers.

Something like Ingots + Talons tends to be more roster dependent (it relies on having strong carries and being able to pivot into different vouchers/collectibles synergies). While being less consistent than Lamp on the other hand it allows you to roll much higher than in average Lamp run.

Shops are nice when you have LPs but you may want to avoid picking ed4 debuff right after entering boksy (it makes some Turmoil harder)

Tavern is good if you need to get your LPs back

Plan if you have coins to trade and LPs to do so

You should always aim for 2 Collectibles conditions in Doubts (but if you can't do anything else pick one collectible)
