Only the 5x5 around the center has actual nodes, everything outside is a filler retrieve node. Try to figure out how to clear most of the turmoils, and don't take retrieve unless you have no choice. That way you should be able to clear the 5x5 and it's guaranteed that there's a tavern and a plan

Idk about the total number of runs but if we take ~75 nodes as an average amount per run with my 15000 nodes I probably did around 200

Basically there are three levels of coins, and the lowest level is mostly bal coin. You can only get coins within the same level, and there are a few coins that your coins might downgrade to (and there's one top level coin that your mid level coins can upgrade to). To get more useful coins you should first fill your coffee with those high level coins first
