Well there is a Middle ground to this, which is Nikke's skins are pretty mediocre for what you pay for them, they're not cheap and they don't offer much outside of the actual design. And when you see the gacha skins they put out with custom voicelines and burst animations and whatnot locked behind a 60 dollar paywall people are gonna be disappointed

But at the same time

They at least give us one of those skins
