The only way of release is to hit the coccon with other unit, but he will become the next coccon host afterwards, so it will be best to make this coccon killer be worthless operator and be far far away from main defense in order not to spread this shit on your majority of ops grouped up.

And you need to hurry, since Theresa will continue to spread this thing on entire field.

A lot of stages in the early chapters challenge you in different ways so you should try to solve them without just having stronger units

Oh also you can use saikiko facing right on the very top at the start to clear out the initial scissor guys before redpeloying
