Well what i do when i cant clear a stage after 15-20 tries. I use one of the banned ops, usually logos or m3, sometimes Texas. You may say, that in that case you are just waisting time.

But part of the reason it works for me cause is cause gets me to use unconventional units or units that are not worth otherwise

Use Logos and reserve his skill on dragon. He is better than Wis in IW 9. Bring your squad too and place them behind Logos so he can tank the laser.
