Recommended to only farm event until it ends. After event ends (which it won’t for a while bc tomorrow is another event for a whole month) then borrow units to clear main story stages until account is built up (easy mode) or learn how the stage mechanics work and almost any team even all 4 stars will clear most of the story content (hard mode)

as a very new player, you wont have many tools to deal with the event's unique mechanic, which calls for units that can hit many times quickly. I forget if newbie rewards include a decent number of Purchase Certificates, but if you can scrounge up 150 of them and buy Ethan from the shop he is very good at clearing out crystals

You should buy as much of the shop as you possibly can, I would start with those headhunting permits then buy whatever else you can

If you can’t get past a certain stage then auto battle whatever stage you can to grind event currency

The event stages drop rates of regular items are a lot higher then normal story missions so you’ll get rewards from finishing the stage and event currency to buy more rewards in the shop. So keep grinding the event until it’s over
