Module makes her less reliant on getting fed early game and makes her more survivable when heli dropped, it’s pretty good. Not game changing but a good upgrade.

Mud module is good but penance had a bigger hole in her kit that got filled, mainly the need to be deployed early and feed on trash mobs to build bulk.

Mud module was a good boost to a mostly complete unit. Penance mod was a needed boost to a good unit with a serious flaw.
Penance wasn’t usable past the beginning of the map on a lot of the harder content because you would be forced to drop her with minimum bulk, and she’ll immediately die to something like 2 arts guards

For penance, her shield gain and initial dont end up making her more applicable than she already is to very high degree. Its just + survivability. I notice basically no difference whether her mod is on or off 90% of the time.
Mud mod allows her, to 1, tank better, which she is actually used for to a higher degree than penance. And 2, her shields giving her sp, actually strengthen her ability to kill the elites that she used to have issues with, noticeably easier.

Mud w mod avaliable usage = same as original. + Quite a bit stronger vs singular stronger elites.
The vid shows pretty weak elites in I believe it is h7-1
Mud can kill thos without mobs even without mod.
But a stronger elite, the shields are much more important, and she also gains quite a bit less sp, which is her main weakness when she is on s2. Strong, singular elites in her lane.
Hence my original point of, I feel like mud has a hole in her kit being filled. Meanwhile penance, mod doesnt branch her out to such a degree, but simply strengthens her already strong survivability

Operator Modules
Introduced during the Dossoles Holiday event, Modules are equippable items that grant extra stats, add additional trait or talent effects, and improve upon existing ones. All operators who are capable of reaching Elite 2 promotion will eventually receive at least one. To unlock a module, the operator must reach a certain promotion, level, and trust; additionally, the player must complete certain missions and pay a material cost.
Stage 1 is the basis of the module: it grants additional base stats and adds a new effect to the branch trait; these are broad and come in just a few types. They are often denoted with X, Y, etc.
Module Upgrades
Module Upgrades were introduced with the Lingering Echoes event, allowing players to raise modules up to Stage 3; these upgrades further increase the stat gains by a smaller amount and affect one of the operator's talents, adding new effects and/or upgrading existing ones, and only require additional materials.
Two new materials, Data Supplement Sticks (T4) and Data Supplement Instruments (T5), were also introduced and are necessary for Stage 2 and 3 upgrades. They are farmed in a new permanent Station Security Service game mode under the Annihilation / Weekly Mission tab. This game mode's cap resets biweekly (every 15 days).

it takes a while for her to get to OD
and her range is harder to work with
also make sure she's gonna block no one of course (easily solved)
I prefer horn range over like any dps op in the game tbh
Total damage should still be lower by a fair margin
Mlynar is strong and that's exactly why we ignore him whenever possible

Cope to use SA s3 in 2023 ye, but if his talent becomes good enough to put him in squad he can still be helpful
as for Thorns, yeahhhhh, he's the only one I'm not too excited about unless whatever mod lvl 2-3 effect they give is an additional effect, rather than just improving the talent
