We won't stop you from damaging your own roster in any way you like. Just be aware than Vigil is worst of 3 because his summon lose in stats (because it has "bonus lives", so we need to make it lose 1v1 to everything) and his skills don't work as well without summon:
Beanstalk - revives crab. summons crabs
Blacknight - sleep enemies with dead pet
Vigil - Shrugs because 2 skills need dog alive for more damage, and reviving dog solution works until dog blocks something for 2 seconds
