Hihi I can't clear DV8 second boss phase with this squad while following kyo's guide, it leaves with around 40%hp of its second bar I was also using as a support unit a surtr to hit it at the end on second phase, I was wondering who should I improve to try and clear it before event is over (I have lmd but not a lot of the exp thingies factories are level 2 so they're producing them at level 2)

No word of a lie, I've spent an entire week's worth of training plans trying to 3-star dv-8, without a support unit, but I just don't have the arts dps for phase 2. I always failed with ~20% left. It's definitely an arts dps test for your line-up. I only succeeded after seeking out a caster support unit (E1 Goldenglow).

I'm fairly new, so maybe can't speak with much authority on it, but only after crunching some numbers did I realise how necessary Kyo's squad selection was in that video:

Mousse seems to have a pretty significant atk dmg debuff on the boss (~ -25%), significantly impacting survivability of the units in the cardinal directions (and hence, you're choice of units). Thrm-Ex also goes without saying: it's ability helps that first burst damage in phase 2 for all other units. The choice of Click is very important too, as she's best at single-target dps that lasts a long while (hence why I tried Goldenglow in resignation of my constant failures: that extra 20% I was missing came from swapping Steward out for Goldenglow — from major failure to major success with the swap of one E1 caster for another).

Only when swapping one of my caster slots with the support unit caster, both at the same E1 level.

It just highlighted how Kyo's strategy did rely on synergy within the squad as well. Just vaguely following the strat isn't enough, because you end up wondering why the damage you're doing isn't the same, or wondering why your team can't soak up the damage the same way.
