So forgive the ignorance here, but I'm looking at my roster and I can't help but wonder, what are Guards useful for? Vanguards handle early stuff, defenders handle high volume, casters handle meaty units, snipers handle air. Why does every low level guide I see use melantha? I haven't upgraded any of my other guards, it's not like I'm lacking damage, and if I let them front line they get smashed

However, guides are meant to be replicable. So what guide makers do is limit themselves to units that everybody will have, meaning low rarity like Melantha and such.
