He probably used another risk, maybe he was using 5 deployment slots, which is a lot harder
Also, Horn kills top left eggs, which she does on 1 rotation unelss you pick +hp risks.
And then you can use your own surtr which is maxed out to deal with the 1st to talk on top left box.

It's just a matter of weaving your strat around you units.
I ended up using Red, Siege and Fia and created my own strat instead of watching a guide with uses specifics units.

Guides not always make it easier, if you don't have what the guide asks for (maybe you didn't use a guide, but thing still the same, trial and error at the end of the day is better than just trying 1 thing too hard just because it's better)
