It's more for very "high end" content, and more about the utility tied to the dp generation, basically a case of role compressing dp gen with other needed aspects for the stage
For general content and most of the game, having utility on top of dp generation is just a win more situation

Skybox’s damage is less than I expected, he’s at m2 right now so that might change at m3, his skill cycle is nice, and the ammo helps with that, I don’t think UR is the best event for him, with all the high defence enemies so I’ll have to use him elsewhere to get a better feel for him. Cairn is awesome, she felt so good to use in UR, I didn’t even notice that her s2 doesn’t even work there, I’ve used her in some other stages and both her damage and tanking ability are great, even without the nervous impairment the on demand barrier on a short skill cycle are really nice to use, combine that with the impressive nervous impairment application she can deal with a surprising variety and number of enemies, also she works very well with matsukiri as her s2 double dips on the hp buff and the extra attack makes her nervous impairment are application even better. All in all, some very good 5*s, though I will need to use them some more to come to a better conclusion

yeah the current event is far from his best showing but i think once you max him out and try him out elsewhere you might like him same as i have. tbh not sure if my experience with him is a bit biased since welfare only didnt have many good physical ranged dps till more recently. his masteries are a relatively big deal and trust is also a factor so maybe that makes up for it. i was expecting people to like cairn as well and that does seem to be the case. she's expectedly pretty nice as well.

For me skybox has the recent comparison with snowhunter, with them both being burst damage ranged physical units, just that one’s single target while the other’s aoe. Also I somehow managed to say all that about cairn yet somehow managed to neglect to mention gracebearer or miss. Christie, probably because gracebearer is fine on her own, and I don’t use miss. Christie, they don’t feel entirely necessary at the moment, but gracebearer being able to activate her talent with her s2 (along with the elemental damage) will help her burst more tanky elites and even some bosses, which will help when cairn can’t tank something for long enough on her own, miss. Christie actually seems like she’ll pair well with cairn, and I know some people have found success with her and cairn

I really like her so I’m kind of biased towards her, but she’s a more offensively focused vulcan, her stats are almost identical and the stats from s2 and module are actually identical, her s2 does good enough damage for lane holding purposes and it’s cycling is really good, however her cost makes it hard to justify using her over an other lane holder, and unlike vulcan, she lacks both the survivability and the helidropability to be thrown at tough enemies in the same way that vulcan could be, she’s surprisingly useful in IS 4 of all places, where her disarm lets her block enemies where an other defender couldn’t, IF you can get the dp for her, she works well with matsukiri which is a plus, though so does vulcan, really she is the most direct sidegrade to a unit that 5*s have, she’s just so similar to vulcan while not being that much better, one thing she does have going for her though, is that she works incredibly well with tinman, to the point where if you using him, she’s one of the best defenders to pair with him, if you can afford the dp

there's a strat you can do is as soon as the map starts, you deploy your e2 raidian with s2 around where the boss spawns. assuming you have masteries on her skill, the skill readies up a bit before the boss spawns the talismans around him. you place a fish down and activate raidian s2 as soon as you can then you try to dps him down. he doesnt usually go down in one skill usage so you might have to free raidian from talismans and you can then use raidian skill again and finish him. you should also try to defend blue box so you dont leak too much.
