Yes she can heal but that's only part of it. Her damage is really good against multiple enemies with S3, she also debuffs them with arts fragile so other arts dmg sources deal more damage, best part is the fragile is in her kit and not skill so you can get it off skill as well

S2 you can just overwhelm and trap one enemy, usually a boss or elite and dps it super quickly

if you have already seen a stage or retrying and you know how enemies come out, you could time your skill in a way that whatever comes on your defenders, will get debuffed and healing isn't an issue atp since she is hitting something

Like if something melee is attacking your defender and reed is there, she will also attack and keep healing. When S3 is active hps becomes a lot higher as well and then you can activate other arts dmg skill as they will do more dmg too

To be honest you also have mumu, which IMO is best vanguard in the game. she is very versatile but have a long cooldowns, she also depends on your current roster, bassicaly if you don't have really tanky high hp-high attack tank like mudrock or penance summon would be really frail, it counts even to ranged mobs, she only stack with fast attack snipers-casters to activelly abuse her binds in skills, so you can look at her later if you are a newbie and her. she is really nice option in the squad, but really complicated in optimising your squad.

s2 also has pretty bad gains on mastery and takes 6 ceu so realistically if you ever pull it out because you can't deal with dodge or something sl7 is likely enough

and i say this as an m6 lemuen haver, its really hard to find any stage where s2 is more relevant

Most people use her s3 to treat her as a “nuker” to clear waves of mobs or single-target bosses (as long as their wanted or the only thing in her range for all value dmg)

However! S2 is definitely a greater option if u want to accurately target elite and leaders by priority targeting without worrying about ur shots being wasted to weaker mobs.
And iirc the dmg is not any significant either, and its wind up wouldnt matter if the target is walking around the map.
On the plus side, Lemuen will act as a consistent dps unit on the field as long as her ammos arent gone.
ASPD is QoL.
And bonus atk helps her wipe weak mobs in her AREA.

Regardless both are good skills, not denying that s3 is generally better ofc ^^
