#CS online does not work on Xbox series x

There were a few bugs reported last year.. this was one that could possibly be similar?
When i select online mode , the game crash... Every time
I have already tried to uninstall and re-install it, but I have got the same result. Does anyone know a way to fix... Something more than uninstall it!
Same for me, it crashes when going to create matchmaking lobby..I'm on series S.
I’ve sent a note to the Devs to see if they have a solution.
Same for me, Xbox X, when I try to launch online mode it crashes and kick me out of the game. So frustrating.

We could not reproduce this issue on our end, we believe it could have been a temporary proble. Can you guys please check again? Apologies for the limited information on this.
I've checked and it still crashes. It happens if I choose online game or create a lobby. If I choose time trial (in italian "prova a tempo") it works.
It's so frustrating because I've bought the game just to play online.

Hey @untold fable something have been changed. If I choose online and then 1p online it doesn't crash anymore, but it says "error". If I try to "create a lobby" it doesn't crash anymore, it just say "error in lobby creation". It seems like something has changed, hope it helps!

I'm not a Dev but maybe it could be a connection/router problem. Could you try to use another internet connection (e.g. over mobile phone) and/or check if the ports are open of the router.

It doesn't work for any Xbox user over the world. I'm in Italy, my friend in Ireland and we experience the same issue. How can it be a connection problem? Come on...

Crashes every time I click on solo online
I think what Player M was trying to say, is that the firewall has been a common issue for console players, so it can affect players around the world. It has often been resolved by making those changes.
I believe this might be an issue regarding the transition of the app from SE to Original Fire Games. We are investigating further with the help of our partners, but in the meantime, I'm so sorry you are experiencing those issues.

Thanks for the advice but guys no, it is not a connection problem. Not being cocky but I would have recognized it. The game crashes as soon as you launch any of the online modes. On multiple Xbox, on different locations. Let's just not "play", they know that bug is there and what a coincidence it is, that's in the only branch of the game where they spend money on maintenance.

We certainly want to fix this. However, at this moment we don't have the ability at OFG to update the game, like all the other platforms. This is an unfortunate issue that started to happen out of the blue, since no other updates or maintanance have been done. Sorry you are experiencing this.

Well, I'll be delighted to buy it as soon as it works fine. Can I just get my money back since it doesn't work and you know it? I mean, you should not sell it if it does not allow people to play.

I know it must be super frustrating.. the devs are investigating.. they were not able to replicate the problem when testing at their end, so they are likely working with Xbox partners to see what the problem is and work on a solution as soon as possible. This can be very difficult as other parties are involved.

I’m not part of OFG, just going by the trouble-shooting process they talked/posted about. It may be on the Xbox side… I just hope it gets fixed quickly so all of you Xbox-ers can join this amazing game!

Microsoft has been much more lenient on refunds lately. I got one no questions because I owned the game for less than 2 weeks
Sorry to those that can’t refund but I would try sooner than later. Time owned matters a lot and I’m sure OFG won’t help get you a refund. Surprising they can’t replicate this bug

Agreed, I work in a customer facing field and most of my customers would find it highly unacceptable for no updates from us on bugs within our product. Even if you all have no progress a simple message a few times a week that this still being actively investigated would be nice.

Keep in mind OFG is a very small team (currently only 4) so their time is very limited... I'm sure they are working with the platform partners to get the issue resolved.
This is really what I want. but nothing prevents a message to reassure the community to say that they have taken note and are working on it. it just takes a few seconds.

my problem is the same but on xbox series x. I am ok for a pc key to test if the problem persists on pc.
I own it on both Xbox X and PC.
Playing on PC, alot of times I can not join with my friends playing on their PS5 whether I join a lobby or create one. Once we hit Ready, all PS5 users seem to log out immediately (most of the time not all the time).
I'm ok to test any solution you got to help.

I am not able to play online on Xbox unfortunately, that's why I purchased the PC version.

I don't face it on PC (anymore), however, me and my friends face continuous lag while playing online. But maybe that's for a different issue.

Hi guys, I see devs've added a beautiful Christmas tree in the main menu, but online still doesn't work. So, I think I'm done with this frustrating situation and I'm going to delete the game for good.

It is frustrating, I know we are no dev, but the issue is there for quite some time and still can't even find what the problem is better yet to resolve it ?!

They have been unable to replicate the issue, which makes it hard to identify the cause and therefore impossible to fix. It looks like they are working on it.. even involving players in troubleshooting.
Which has been the same since we brought up this issue. Something is not matching up here guys. There's an entire community of Xbox users not being able to use the game and Devs are pretending we believe they are working on it not even knowing where, what or when.. i don't know, it might sounds like a scam.
Alot of missed opportunities and huge potential to be one of the greatest racing games on all platforms, but they decided to kill it.
Instead of creating a mundane Karting game, they could've created DLCs, cars, tracks and most of all fixed their servers.
This is an automatic feature added more than a year ago. This is not a new feature they added these days…
If you follow the journal entries and Dev posts, you’ll see the game became too difficult for them to update and needed to create a new game (Karting) to survive. Hopefully this will lead to CSup 2, with all the lessons learned from CSup 1.
Hey, just wanted to clarify that we didn’t add that tree, it just turns on automatically during Christmas dates. I’m very sorry that we haven’t been able to fix this issue for you. If you’d like the game gifted for Pc, switch or PlayStation, please let me know.
I understand that it is difficult to fix the bugs but why leave the game available on certain platforms, when the game is deprived of half of its potential?!

Please follow the #server-rules and avoid tagging the Devs. The devs post updates to issues when there is an update to post - last I heard they could not replicate the problem at their end, so they were working with Microsoft on potential solutions. Keep in mind, OFG is a very small team so their discord time is very limited. Hopefully they can find a fix soon for all our Xbox friends so we can see you & your friends enjoy this awesome game.

I can't join a private room with a friend on Xbox. Multiplayer only works in public lobby.

So the friend with Xbox is entering the lobby code and what happens? If you have screenshots, that will help the devs (error messages, etc) or describe how the lobby is created and what happens to the player that cannot join
My friend creates a lobby (he has the game on Steam) and sends me the lobby code so I can join. When I enter the code, the game freezes and closes shortly after.

I can't join a private room with a friend on Xbox. Multiplayer only works in public lobby.

@untold fable On Xbox series X. Solo online is working... But when I want to create a lobby, game frezzes and crash. 🤢 my xbox version is 1.6.0 On friends xbox is the same situation...
Still not working :(. Didn't realise this was still ongoing and registered for an online community tournament. When I select 'join lobby' or 'create custom lobby' the backround movement and the loading icon instantly freezes, and then a couple of seconds later a big buzzing sound happens before I'm booted out of the game. Hope this gets fixed soon. I can record it happening if that might help, but there's nothing weird outside of what I said in this message. I'm quite dissapointed that I didn't even know my game wouldn't connect until tournanent go-time (maybe a message upon game launch telling xbox users of the situation?)
That is exactly the same situation... Word by word as you described. Me and other friends are all unable to race online together. We all have the same problem.
We're investigating this issue. Seems like something that might have been introduced with 1.6, since we seemed to have fixed one of the issues but this is different. Thank you for reporting and apologies to anyone having problems!

I've just deployed a patch that prevents you from getting to the place where the crash happens. Lobbies still don't work on Xbox, but for now you'll get a message and sent back to the main menu. I'm continuing to work on this.
Thank you for the fix. Its probably working. But nobody can test it, since the Patch completly broke online-matchmaking for every who downloaded the patch. 😄

Unfortunately no, @frozen heart - Not sure if you've claimed a PC code (in case you have access to one) but it's what we've been doing forthose who can't get past this on Xbox. Apologies for the inconvenience!
Sorry to disturb here, but I have the same issue.
Does the Team know the root cause and do you offer codes for other systems as well?
Its been over a year. Any serious effort on fixing this? Is this actually a technical issue or is it really a contract issue? I just wasted $20 gifting this game to a friend on Xbox because your documentation says its cross-play.
If you're unwilling to modify the product details on the M$ store page, then it seems like we will need to report the game to M$ for false advertising of capabilities as its listed as "Xbox cross-platform multiplayer" and "Xbox Live Cross-Gen Multiplayer".
Selling a product with advertised features and then not providing them will land you in hot water with the federal trade commission and consumer financial protection bureau. Not to mention the potential class-action legal battles you're opening yourself up to.
Do you just assume we don't know about these options? Either update your documentation to be correct or fix the issue. I'll check back in 30 days. If neither have been completed, reports to the aforementioned entities will be sent.
i agree on your frustration regarding the issue. the fact that this issue is still not fixed is "disappointing" to say the least.
however the game can still be played cross platform - in online lobbies. the part that is not working are private lobbies.

I would ask for a refund... or if you have PC, the Devs have offered a key for the PC version to Xbox players. I'm sorry this issue hasn't been fixed... it's definite;y frustrating for both the Xbox players who were excited to use the custom lobby feature, and the other players who want to race with you.
The developers don’t respond and don’t offer anything at the moment. There are users before me who have not received an answer. I’m very sorry because the game is nice.
