Well, these boots are not very good for a mythic. I suggest raising the "speed" parameter to 14 points, as these boots are only suitable for assassins due to their speed. On a bastion or archer, these boots would look bad if you could wear epic boots with a 16 speed parameter. I think it would be appropriate to raise the parameter to 14.

and bastion scales a lot from strength, so it's not a big deal to exchange a bit of speed for a bit of strength

it's solid in it's niche, so I doubt it will be outclassed by any new items for now

If you have a good amulet then it'll make up for the low speed, this boot is mainly for the strength and the stomp is the cherry on top.

Other items to compensate? You mean most of the amulets that literally have speed. The jade bull has speed, most robes have speed.
Elephant boots does what it does, damage, 4 str on boots is decent, of course it sacrifices speed.
I think it's a matter of opinion, if you don't like the eleph boots, use top boots or phoenix boots, otherwise eleph boots does what it does. Each boot has its own niche, just because it's a myth doesn't mean it's a direct upgrade.

Of course myth > rares but not in direct stats.

But T3 rares might be equal to T2 myths.

Why do you think myths have different abilities and attacks rather than just "yeah, +1.2x damage."
