It would be pretty neat if this game had a pity system similar to darza for mythics. In case you don't know how it works in Darza here's the rundown.

You're able to select up to 3 bosses to gain essence from.

Once you kill one of these bosses there is a chance of you obtaining an essence around 1/3 chance.

Once enough essences are collected you are able to exchange them to an NPC for a soulbound (untradable) UT (Mythic).

The addiction of a system similar to this would give players something tangible to work toward, and would encourage players to play the game more or to not get too bummed out when having a dry streak. Tell me your thoughts below.

Every 5 kills = Guaranteed Rare
Every 10 kills = Guaranteed Mythic
Every 30 kills = Guaranteed Exalted

This is probably just a couple of lines in code. You lose everything on death, that is a major factor too.

While some form of Bad luck mitigation would help, yes. Something where something is "guaranteed" is too overpowered.

The level of difficulty of the game right now as of 1.09 is not enough to justify something like this.

As noted, all items are tradeable, if you would like to trade for something like a pirate amulet, it is possible.

#

Losing everything upon death is intentional game design. You are expected to die. You are also encouraged to take risks, play smart and learn from deaths.

Adding this would remove the thrill of getting good loot tbh, which is literally the whole point of games in this genre. One of the reasons why I stopped darza/rotmg

As for the op this in my opinion is not a good idea because it wont feel as good when you get said drops. I understand rng can be a bit rough at times but even so that just makes it even better when you finally get the item. at least thats how i see it ^^

so at least killing the same boss 100 times to get the item i want actually makes it so that i dont waste my time and go insane farming for the same specific enemy over and over again

I just don't thing that would be healthy for the games economy. I think that you being forced to trade for the items you want is a good and healthy thing. Its incentivizes just playing the game and going to all the bosses rather than just targeting one boss over and over

since the people who are not willing to put up with the grind will still trade for those items

#

and the economy in this game is just so dumb to begin with that i think that most people would accept a pity mechanic into the game

#

5 myth daggers for a myth trap sounds ridiculous

#

if anything it might be pretty good to reduce the stupidly high prices of some items in the market

#

and not having to deal with some of the inflated prices people give to mythics is a good thing in my book

You say it doesn't matter but instantly all i can think of is if you're getting ur item through pity im not selling it to you which directly effects the economy lmao

#

As for certain items being worth more thats just bound to happen. Some things are over tuned and others kind of suck rn like myth sword for instance is just not good from everything i've seen so naturally some items are just gonna be worth more because they have more demand due to people wanting to min max

#

But honestly that should be an entirely different topic in itself.. The current economy that is

Just take a jade dagger and myth and compare

#

The only diff is the weapon skill

#

Jade sword does 1.6 pow per second

#

Exa sword does 1.2 pow per sec

#

Myth sword does 1.25
