Speaking on this, I do wish Jades were a little more unique, not just high damage multipliers of their weapon types

I think jades work like that since the ruby and sapphire ones are intended to be different, so it makes sense to keep at least one of them with the flow of the weaker ones

I like the thorns idea, but I imagine the rare level armors are meant to be likely only stats and thats why kimono downgraded, with mythics actually having added effects, so it would if anything just have a little stat change

Didn’t know what was planned ab these ‘sapphire’ and ‘ruby’ so that’s good

To make more clear the way weapons and abilities are tiered, those that do not have a different skill other than changing the strength multiplier and quantity of projectiles (but with the exact same effect otherwise) are supposed to be a direct upgrade to its previous counterpart. Although some abilities are not currently acquirable, every type of ability and weapon that has a common rarity have direct upgrades as you increase the tier of enemies you fight up until hammurabi, and in the future a couple further (ie: Shuriken; Rusty<Bronze<Steel<Blacksteel<Steelstorm<Volcanium<Lightbalde<Bloodstone<Frosted Edge), those are referred by ROTMG players as tiered items.
Rares, mythics, exalted and ancestral are supposed to be items where there is no particular direct upgrade, and to provide a possible alternative for a certain different build.
